Prepare for controller throwing action.

I actually use to play this one when I was a kid, I had a NES and a neighbor had the original Master System, he had My Hero on card.

I hated it then but when a Master System game is $3 you have any connection to, you gotta get it! I remember there was a section with bouncing balls (Bombs maybe) and you had to climb a hill, I don't think I ever got past that bit and I remember it being early haha.

I have not played it again yet but I am sure it is just as hard as I remember it being 18-20 years ago.

I got Walking with Dinosaurs via ebay for $10, hoping to find book of potions cheap.

Are you after the box sets (with the book) or just the game (I don't know if they all use the same book?). My local Kmart had copies of the game only for $5 but I can be on the lookout at other stores for the box set if you are interested / want it enough to pay shipping from AUS for it.

My last pickup of 2014 (although it did arrive in 2015): the Xbox LIVE Arcade Pack (not the Virtual Arcade disc) with Lumines Live, Bomberman Live and Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2. Looks like this one was a "not for resale" disc with three really good XBLA games on a physical disc. I paid $7.

Steel Battalion - Game no controller - $10.

This is such a hard one to find at a decent price. Most people want $50-100 for the disc, which is useless without a controller. Funny thing is if you piecemeal your controller, it is possibly useless without the disc. Steel Battalion does a configuration when you boot it up. If you have piecemealed a controller together, and it does not work correctly, you need to boot the single player disc to calibrate everything then you can play the multiplayer version with no issues. However these controllers were made so well that this was rarely an issue. I just have one that pulls funny and after booting the singleplayer disc now everything is fine.

Ive had two Steel Battalion setups, and two copies of Line of Contact for years, but never found the singleplayer disc for under $50. The day I get a copy of the disc, one of my Xboxes dies.

I found a CIB copy of Steel Battalion a few years ago in a pawn shop. Paid $5 or less for it, but knew I'd never find the controller for it so I promptly sold the game on ebay for around $25-30. Kinda wish I had kept it but then again I've still never seen the controller for sale in the wild and certainly wouldn't pay todays prices for one...

The day I found out Gamestop was getting rid of original Xbox games, I hit everyone in my area and bought every part of Steel Battalion they had for sale. I wanted four of them, I got two full and several partials. But over the years I sold the partials to people who were looking (pedals seem to be the most difficult part to find I have only owned two sets of pedals). I was close to just selling it all until I found the copy last week. Id love to have four sets, but market price makes that a pipe dream.

Yeah it's tough to leave parts of a Steel Battalion set behind but I did just that as well. Thrift store had both the sticks but no center portion of the controller, game or pedals. Maybe the pedals can't remember. Still, at $10 per stick I just couldn't bite. I try my best to pass on anything that will end up as dead money unless it's only a couple bucks.

Got lucky again! $4 each, Skies of Arcadia, and Alien Hominid signed by Tom Fulp!

Also, everyone seems to be interested in The Joy of Sex on CDI. I checked the manual and the game portion is 2 players haha

finally had time to go games finding. I've been busy at work and now that things calmed down....well here we are! Paid $4.00 at the salvation army for the SNES game and the two strategy guides. Went to a gamestop and didn't want to leave empty handed. So I found a super clean copy of bulletstorm for 360 $5.00. Finally I went to a target in town and I got those two DS games for $5.99 each! I picked up scribblenauts first. and I was expecting to pay the $14 that it says on the label. but it came up less at the register. I then went back to the clearance section and scanned the Ben 10 game. It came up less as well. Not to bad for my first finds of the year!
