[help] Castlevania Double Pack GBA Fake?
Re: [help] Castlevania Double Pack GBA Fake?
One of the few advantages of being Australian on eBay (there are not many others), is that the games end in AUS (though many local releases end in EUR), so if I see AUS I generally know its real as I have never seen a bootleg using the AUS code.

Glad someone else posted a shot. I've got a copy as well that I was going to take pictures of.
I've been really leery about buying from Hong Kong / Chinese sellers for pretty much anything of this sort, I definitely don't want to end up with a bootleg. So... are there any Ninja Five-O bootlegs out there? Seems like that's one they'd want to target.

All I had to see was that stretched label, and knew it was a bootleg. But yes, even a highly desirable GBA title like that I'm sure has been bootlegged a few times.

The cart that really got me was one of the Genesis Sonic carts. Also a big name, the series has been bootlegged or hacked to different features so many times. Guess which cart below is a bootleg.

My Sonic 2 looks like the one of the left with the cut off 2, other than the fact mine says Megadrive.

I need some more advice!
This guy is really fighting me tooth and nail. He wants me to ship it back and pay the costs. However, he's knowingly selling counterfeit games and he expects me to roll over for him. I don't want his crappy game; I want a real copy. He wrote this at my official request for a refund.
Should I elevate this to eBay? I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by packing, shipping, and paying for a return when this guy's intentionally scamming people over these games. How do I get eBay involved when he's "accepted" a return and the eBay case is closed?
Thanks again, guys. I'd give up but now it's a matter of principle. If he were just a seller who happened to have a fake game I'd just return it, but this guy's running a racket.

Hello. Because we are well aware of ebay "scams" who will question authenticity simply to receive free product; We regret to inform you that a credit will NOT be given until the product has been received by us. This policy is our way of combating such behavior. Of course, we stand behind the authenticity of the products we test, ship, and sell; So please, per your official request, return the product to receive a credit. Thanks.

contact ebay directly, actually I'd call their customer hotline. inform them that the guy is selling counterfeit products. They take that stuff pretty seriously.
