I've no idea, I've only played C2C very briefly. Sorry.

Just saw that SEGA has confirmed that in North America this will only be available on XBLA - so if you live in the US and want this game on PS3 you're going to have to make an EU account or gameshare it with someone.

Purchased exclusivity for downloadable content is possibly the single worse practice of this generation, but this must be the first time i've seen a company purchase regional exclusivity and it's pretty pathetic. Shame on SEGA for taking Microsofts money, rather than releasing the game to a wider audience.

I'm in the US and pissed that I can't get this game. This is honestly one of my favorite games of all time. Just look at some of my other posts for proof!

But furthermore, I have an EU account on my PS3, but you still can't purchase anything without a foreign bank account. Very uncool.

This blows for psn people but I would imagine it'll come over after a few months of exclusivity.

Now, give us more details Sega!

It (dlc region exclusivity) appears also to be happening with SSFT2HDR, which is currently only officially available in the UK on XBLA... Might as well get used to using online stores from other regions.

I believe this is not a Microsoft issue, but a Sony/Sega one. The submissions process for M$ is just one submission to get all regions. Where with Sony, you have to do one for US, Europe, and then Japan. Sega opted not to do the US one (possibly because the last OutRun game did not sell well enough to warrant a US release).

Actually, I think I remember reading recently about how Sony had now made submissions unniversal so companies wouldn't have to go through multiple submission processes. Although, if you're right and SEGA have just not decided to release it in the US, thats a pretty foolish decision as alot of fans are pissed judging from the response to this news on various forums - even if the last Outrun didn't sell so well in the US, the fact that it's a downloadable game with online play would surely warrant more sales.

Finally something good about living in the UK. Not that it matters, I'd be buying it for 360 anyway.

Do you really think microsoft paid for exclusivity for a title as niche as outrun? Since there has been no statement on whether or not that's true, that's a stupid assumption. This game isn't going to be a system seller... or even pick up that much attention. There would be no good reason to buy exclusivity. There has to be something more to this.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?
