I'm having no luck finding repair kits in stock for my SFC controller, and I can't stand the knockoff SNES controllers littering eBay. I stumbled upon this and I'm tempted to get it...

Anyone here use one of the ToToTEK adapters? It appears they make a PSX adapter for a lot of different systems. Also, are they a reliable company?
Of course, I could possibly buy a knockoff SNES controller and use the innards to fix my SFC controller. Anyone know if they are exactly the same inside?
Are the controller adapters from ToToTEK any good?

What's the problem with your controller exactly?
It may be able to be fixed with something simple like this:

Well all the buttons work, they just feel "mushy". The rubber pieces most likely need to be replaced. THIS is what I wanted to buy, but everywhere I found that has them are sold out.

You can't really tell the condition of the controller without trying it out first. It might look good cosmetically, but it could have issues. We're talking about controllers that are over fifteen years old here.attorneyriffic wrote:Anything wrong with buying an official SNES controller? Like this one, HERE.
I'd rather just replace the innards of my SFC controllers I have already. Although the PSX adapter would be nice too considering I like the feel of a PSX controller better and I have plenty of them in good shape.

Good point. Well, whatever route you take, be sure to let us know how it goes. I, too, am interested in repairing my controllers or alternately replacing them with PSX ones.Flak Beard wrote:You can't really tell the condition of the controller without trying it out first.
