This. I find myself torn between my desire to have a physical disc as security against hardware failure and my love of not having to open those cases more than the minimum to keep everything nice. Also, my love of not moving.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I just keep a separate list of re-beats and then, in my games beaten post state how many times I've completed the game.

I solve this problem by never playing the same game more than once...

(Just kidding. I played back through The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid, among others, last year, and neither game made my "games beaten" list.)

I just think it's worth noting because it shows more of your gaming habits.

Popped it in last night for the 1st time, and played it for 4 1/2 hrs. straight. The driving is great, just the right mix of realism and arcadey type physics for me.
Awesome! It really is a fantastic game, isn't it?
Yeah, I feels really similar in ways to Burnout Paradise, which I also thought was excellent.

This is why I like the older PS2 and Xbox for the hard drive mod install workaround. I keep a complete disc copy on the shelf and the convenience of the hard drive install. I was in the dreaded Gamestop line the other day, someone complaining at the cashier their newly bought game (not sure if XboxOne or PS4) would not work due to the server being down. I commented to another customer in the line this is why I will not invest in the newer console, guy in front of me grunted holding an XboxOne game.

Do many of the newer console games require online "Steam" athentification to run?

@ Flake - Does that mean you are getting both the download and disc copy? Your OCD collecting is worse then me!

While I enjoy DriveClub one of the big reasons I really wish I had gotten an Xbox instead is for Forza Horizon 2. If it's anything close to as awesome as the first Horizon it's probably one of the best racing games ever made. If it weren't for Persona 5 I'd feel like I got the wrong system.
Older. Not wiser.

The solution is to become a ports junkie like me.

Wanna play Link to the Past again? Try it on GBA this time. Streets of Rage? Try the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection version. Final Fantasy IV? DS or PSP. Ys Book I & II? Take your pick.

In my experience, only games you've downloaded for free as part of PS+ require you to be online (since it authenticates you still have the subscription).

You mean it still relevant? I still consider it a "this gen." game.
I find the WWII CODs better than the newer ones, but they seemed niche. How popular can a WWII FPS be? But it was very well made.

Interesting how they changed its style, and became a historical game. Its the mainstream of mainstreams! COD to 360/PS3 like Super Mario/Sonic in 16-bit.
