Ok , so Windows CE is like a software and tools from Windows that are also available on the DC to make porting easier. I thought you can run Windows, or you use Windows software to go online. IIRC Windows CE was something like Windows for PDA.

while we are at it, which version of RE3 is best? I tried the DC version and the graphics look horrible to be honest, not suer if it takes time to get used to.

Yes. Overtime tho, it was obvious that SEGA's own software libraries to develop games on Dreamcast was far better and even easier to use than WinCE. Nevertheless, it was a valiant effort in making their system as versatile to developers as possible.

Huh!? Horrible... compared to what?

Windows CE is an embedded OS originally designed to run on devices which were lower powered and not able to run a full desktop- or server-class OS. So a WinCE-powered game on the Dreamcast actually loads Microsoft-provided libraries and drivers and run the game in that Windows CE environment. Though there are some good games that use it, it has been criticized for not being very powerful compared to the first-party, Sega-developed Dreamcast tools. Sega Rally 2 is a good example of this. The game looks pretty good and plays very well, but even when it came out other Dreamcast games were outclassing it in terms of visuals and performance. It runs on Windows CE.

@CD AGES

I don't know compared to what, but when I played it on the Dreamcast(just for few minutes), the graphics were extremely blurry. Its like the colors of each 3D object mixes with the object next to it.

This:

is much clearer and sharper

Ahh! compared to the PC re-release there is obviously a difference there.
Which leads me to wonder on what video output did you play RE3 on Dreamcast, RF, AV, S-Vid, etc.? The game looks pretty good still when playing in VGA 480p, particularly the pre-rendered backgrounds ;)

Its actually the only version of Bleemcast I still dont own of the official 3 released. Your feedback on how the game looks and plays on a DC controller would be much appreciated :)

I used A/V. My $1300 TV does not have a VGA in option, and I bought it last year.

Those Bleemcast games, they are PSX games combined with a code to let it be able to run on a Dreamcast sold in disc form?

If your TV has HDMI, you could get a VGA -> HDMI converter from Monoprice for like $35. That's how I use my DC on my TV. It doesn't do any upscaling of the resolution or anything, so lag is very minimal.
