Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So we were driving home after going to see a movie and I managed to convince my reluctant mom to stop by the thrift store, since it's their half-price weekend. "But make it quick. They're not going to have much because of the holidays," she says. Oh ho, we shall see.
I walk in and immediately spot some old Game Informer magazines (not important) and quickly make my way back around the store, when I spot some stuff by the counter...

Outrun
Bomber Raid
Super Monaco GP
Video Game Cleaner System
Super Multiplay for Genesis
3 Sega Genesis Secret books
The games all had their manuals and the Multiplay adapter was still in it's plastic wrap with its paperwork. Hell, parts of the cleaner system look like they hadn't even been used.
Well, that with the magazines had already made my day.... Until I saw a box...

I immediately loved that box
Oh please, oh please, please, please, don't be multiple copies of Outrun and Hang On/Safari Hunts...

YES!

Double Yes!
Whoo hoo! Only one copy of Outrun and Hang On/Safari Hunt in the lot!
I looked up a couple online and came to the conclusion that a lot of these must be PAL releases? Yes? I suppose it doesn't really matter since they all play the same. Don't know who decided to donate all these, but they probably just saved me a ton on importing fees.
As we left the thrift store with my new acquisitions, my mother turned to me and said, "I'm not going to live this down, am I?"
"Nope."
Total: $35.68

Yes. Those are most definitely PAL games. You can play them on an NTSC SMS, however.Michi wrote:I looked up a couple online and came to the conclusion that a lot of these must be PAL releases?
Also...
That is a great, great find.

Well done on the Master System games! I'm very jealous.

Nice SMS haul, I love that system too.

WOW, I don't think I've ever bought a SMS game in the wild.

Super jealous, especially of that Bomber Raid. I fell in love with the SMS this past year.Michi wrote:Total: $35.68
