Re: Games Acquired 2014
So yeah i swear to myself this are the last buys of this year and of january 2015, otherwise i will be broke
.
Ni No Kuni, i just decided to get this since i have the crazy theory that might become the FF7 of the Ps3 (no foundation on that what so ever) and seems good to start my JRPG list with this one... maybe im wrong.
Sonic Generations
Heavenly sword
HD version of Ico and Shadow of the colossus ( i want a full USA set of PS2 remastered games)
BlazBlue Calamity Trigger, got to play this one a couple days ago in a friends store and it's great.

Is it? It looks a lot like The Firemen so I'm quite intrigued.prfsnl_gmr wrote:This is one of the best SNES games. Nice find!soul_hacker wrote:Ignition Factor (SNES)

It is. It was well-reviewed back in 1995, and it still holds up remarkably well.soul_hacker wrote:Is it? It looks a lot like The Firemen so I'm quite intrigued.prfsnl_gmr wrote:This is one of the best SNES games. Nice find!soul_hacker wrote:Ignition Factor (SNES)
Re: Games Acquired 2014
Since I've been itching to play my PS4 I picked up Call of Duty Ghosts and Thief from gamestop just in case PSN was still out when I got back. Also picked up Drakengard 3 for PS3 since they had a b2g1 sale. Low and behold PSN is up for the moment though so onwards to Destiny

Re: Games Acquired 2014
Alright, my final list(s) of 2014.
I actually have one additional game sitting on my desk here, and some that should arrive in the mail tomorrow. But by the time those are cleaned / tested / shelved we'll be well into January.
First, the December list:
And 2014 in its entirety:
Some general thoughts and observations:
- Not including the Retron 5 I picked up five new (to me) consoles this year: Channel F, ColecoVision, Vectrex, PC-FX and Wii U. Thrilled with all of them, though I haven't acquired any PC-FX games yet.
- In addition to the PC-FX here's a list of systems I own but didn't acquire any games for: VIC-20, Amiga CD32, Game Boy (?!), Virtual Boy, Sega CD, 32X, Lynx, Neo Geo AES, Neo Geo CD, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Neo Geo X, WonderSwan, WonderSwan Color, and Didj (lol).
- I did acquire two Atari 8-bit games this year, though I don't own the system yet and have no way to test them. Thus, they aren't on the list.
- Strangely enough, I didn't purchase a single North American NES game in 2014. I did get three Famicom carts though.
- When it was announced that IPS/UPS patches could be used on the Retron 5 I went wild with Super Famicom JRPGs.
- Finally broke down and bought Panzer Dragoon Saga. It is the most I've ever spent on a game and it's the most valuable item in my collection. I'll never spend that much on a game again.
- Special thanks to my Racketboy & real-life friend prfsnl_gmr, who gave me way more freebies than I deserved.
- Another thanks to alienjesus for tracking down an obscure Ys game in PAL-land for me.

Haha yeah. September 2013.
Re: Games Acquired 2014
I don't believe I've posted in this thread since September, so here's what I've picked up since then.
I suddenly made a bunch of purchases this month after so few in the previous 3 months.
That's that for the year though. I have some games in the Steam cart, but I'm still waffling about them. I have until the 2nd to figure it out, so they'll be going on next year's list if I get them.
September:
Shadowrun Returns - PC
Ultionus: A Tale of Petty Revenge - PC
October:
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition - Xbox 360
November:
Lunar: The Silver Star - Sega CD
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - Wii U
Wolfenstein: The New Order - Xbox One
December:
Batman: Arkham Origins - Xbox 360
Project Diva F 2nd - PS3
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition - Xbox One
Doom Classic Complete - PS3
Donkey Kong 64 - N64
Perfect Dark - N64
Quake - N64
Final Fantasy - PSP
Star Ocean: Second Evolution - PSP
The Evil Within - Xbox One
Alien Isolation - Xbox One
Kameo: Elements of Power - Xbox 360
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts - Xbox 360
Perfect Dark Zero - Xbox 360
The Operative: No One Lives Forever - PS2

I'll let you know when I pick up Lucienne's Quest - hopefully sometime next year. We can play through it together.
