Saw a thread on reddit about the WiiU premium promotion ending next week. If you have registered a WiiU 32gb and purchased/registered any WiiU/3DS software on your Nintendo Network ID in calendar year 2014, log in to claim your $5 eshop codes.

I ended up with $20 eshop credit that I didn't even realize I had. According to the website, you have to request the code before midnight 31 December 2014 but the credit is good until June 2015.

Is it weird that i wish some games were exclusive to one console, that way i dont have an option.

I ended up getting Shovel Knight on PC through the humble bundle, it gave me a DRM free version and a steam version too.

But i also wouldnt mind having it on Wii U, but not going to fork over the money again.

Hmm... link claims you're only getting points from eShop purchases.

Can anyone confirm you also get it for physical purchases? I'm not able to log in right now due to being at work (was honestly stunned I could follow that link). If it's digital-only I'm outta luck, but if physical purchases count I'm so in.

It's for digital purchases only and only if you have the deluxe Wii U model so physical releases don't count. However any games redeemed through things like the Mario Kart promotion or Club Nintendo eGames would count even though they were free.

Ah well darn, thanks for the confirmation. I do have a deluxe package, but I have nothing in the way of digital releases (I'm a holdout on discs/carts) so this is not a promo for me. Thanks for the heads up just the same, hopefully some people can benefit from it!
