I'm checking in at the local stores every chance I get. I'm not even paying attention to the supposed street dates at this point.
On the one hand, yeah that sucks. On the other...supply and demand? If people are willing to pay those prices, then good for them. Those people are also the ones assuming the risk that comes with the possibility of Nintendo also flooding the market with the more affordable card based amiibo option they have mentioned or the market losing interest and amiibos becoming just another former fad.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
These are the kind of people who while youre giving them the money are smiling and giggling a little bit, then after you start walking away they light up a cigarette.
I dunno, just a stereotype that pops in my head.
Not that i would ever pay that price, $12.99 is already too much, then again its cheaper than Skylanders.
Marth is evidently not a hot commodity over here in France. I've been in a few magasin and he's always been there. No sign of villager or another captain falcon. 14.99€. I'd be willing to search locally for any amiibos you're after in Paris and ship when I get back if there's interest in such a thing. PM me!
For those still searching, Little Mac is currently available online at Gamestop. I just ordered one of him. They also say they have Pit, but they kept kicking him out of my cart, so I think that's a fluke at the moment. Little Mac went through just fine though.
All I lack is Pit and Captain Falcon due to Toys R Us flaking on my pre-order. They've since fixed me up with a new ship date, discount and a voucher. Gotta catch 'em all!
