I'm pretty well in the spirit this year after getting all the present shopping done for the wife/kids/extended family. It's been a good year. We had our second child in April, wife is going back to school to get her RN and the fixer-upper we bought is finally starting to show some progress. This year has treated me and mine pretty well.

Looking forward to bringing 2015 in on a good note.

Just as a fun anecdote, I was playing some chiptunes on the stereo for my mom the last time I visited her, and she liked the Tetris Attack "Water Stage" theme so much that she requested a mix CD of classic video game tracks that included it.

So I am, at this very moment, curating a chiptune album for my mother. This is what she wanted for the holidays.

Moms. They're amazing.

Watched Gremlins last night. Will watch the X-Files Christmas ghosts episode later. My love for Halloween spills over into the holidays.

at 3 PM today I will have worked 17 1/2 hours in a 24 hour time span driving to and working at my job. So tired, but can't wait to spend Christmas with what little family I have left!

Happy Holidays from me and my snow princess.

My wife, daughter, and I already exchanged gifts a few hours ago. I got some Wii U games. My wife is happy to finally have a laptop. And my girl is absolutely thrilled with her MLP stuff.

Seeing my family tomorrow which, to be honest, is always something of a drag. I'll try to make the best of it. Looking forward to the 26th when we're all back home and can just chill out and enjoy the gifts and each other.

Make sure y'all watch It's a Wonderful Life tomorrow.

We're staying home this year and don't plan on seeing anybody from either side of the family. Should be nice and peaceful :P

Although, I do miss heading north this time of year to visit family. I kind of miss seeing the snow (it's nice when you only have to spend a week with it). Though, I suppose this year, judging by the Weather Channel, the 'snow' is more of slush at the moment, so perhaps it's best we didn't have plans to go anywhere
