Racketfriends, ps3 help needed

Post by d123456 »

I'm currently on holiday in Curacao and my buddy has a ps3 that does not work.
Please advise. I told my friends there's a whole community to back me up.
Just one day the system did not work anymore, but it never broke down while playing

ps3:
If you connect it to a socket, the red led is on. (Normal behaviour)
When I turn it on, the led turns to green and immediately shuts down with the led off.
After this, you cannot turn it on, because there is no led burning and the system does not respond. Only after a while of turning the on/off switch a couple of time, you can start seeing the red led again and try troubleshooting
What could this be? Could it be the fuse?

I once ovenbaked my ps3 motherboard and brought it back from the dead, but what could this be. I googled, it did not find any good results.
I already tried the official reset procedures, it just turns off.

Thanks for any tips

Is the fan blowing and are things free of dust? I could see if it wasn't getting cooled, overheats, and shuts down for a while until the temp drops.

What model/revision of the PS3 is it? I know my PS3 (super slim) sometimes will overheat if the power cord is plugged in one way over the other (which is very odd, but hey).

i just CFW'ed one of my PS3 Slims and theres a homebrew app called Control Fan Utility which you can gently raise the fan speed in increments it also has a live CPU/GPU temp reading.
