My rushed post and phrasing was poor. Last night goofing around I had all of this in my cart - went to put it through just now and sure enough --- it didn't go through.
The 40% off was good through midnight last night.
Little Mac was good ship to home - now he is store only.
There is/was a limit of 3 per. Looks like I should have put the order in last night...but I didn't want to order something when I don't even have Smash yet.
All that said - it looks like there are dozens (maybe hundreds?) of these planned. There are various pre-orders and exclusives abound as i'm looking through the various sites.
Amiibo!!
Re: Amiibo!!
Little Mac does not exist any where in central Texas.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Well, that one is def. in stock on play-asia for $20. There are usually free shipping or 5% off coupons available for PA too.Flake wrote:Little Mac does not exist any where in central Texas.
EDIT: listed as in-stock at 2 of the 4 gamestops around here as well. Looks like it is at Target as well. I'm happy to make some calls to guarantee stock and have them hold one for me tomorrow - just ping me. Of course you're paying to ship it - so plan on $18 after tax and shipping - lmk.
Re: Amiibo!!
I would be okay with that - still cheaper than the $30 ebay would cost me.

Re: Amiibo!!
A VERY pleasant surprise at my local EB Games this afternoon. Looks like their Amiibo selection was freshly stocked and they had two Little Mac's. I admittedly grabbed both initially as I was so stunned that I found them. After a minute of quiet deliberation, I placed one back on the hook for the next person.
Anyone in Canada wanting a Mac should check out their local EB now. Hopefully, this is happening everywhere.

I've been seeing the dates of the six just released vary from website to website, including the one's you can order them from. So maybe part of the problem is a case of delayed shipments. I know when I went to Walmart (the only store closest enough to me to check during the week that carries them) I got a bit of a run around and confused glances before another employee walking by mentioned that "no, we don't have any, but we also didn't get a truck in that was supposed to come in last night, either." So, who knows. I'm going to just keep checking during the week, regardless.
But screw going through this stuff again. I pre-ordered all the one's I want that come out in February

Re: Amiibo!!
Just picked myself up a Villager Amiibo, meaning I have the 'big 3' from the first set now - Villager, Marth and Wii Fit Trainer.
Disappointed to hear that my Little Mac preorder was cancelled though. Gonna have to go back on the hunt already.

I think Nintendo's marketing plan worked on a lot of us as soon as they went, "Hey look! Mini figures of some of your favorite characters!"isiolia wrote:...and the Nintendo marketing plan scores again.Michi wrote: But screw going through this stuff again. There seems to be some consensus that Nintendo causes shortages on purpose. I'm not familiar with the history but I don't really see it here. The simple answer seems to be that with Nintendo it's all about Mario, Yoshi, et. al. and the big picture reality is that most people don't even know who Marth or the Villager is or give a crap about the Wii Fit Trainer.Michi wrote:I think Nintendo's marketing plan worked on a lot of us as soon as they went, "Hey look!
