For sure. I can't remember the last time I read a paper. I've been following the story on BBC.emwearz wrote:While the situation is not great, remember not to buy into all the anti-Islamic shit the media is spewing in order to get views / sell papers.BRIK wrote:Sad: Homegrown, local(ish) terrorism
There have been so many corrections in the past 24 hours it is ridiculous.

Smile: Step-daughter has play practice till 6:30pm tonight so I got to sleep in. Plan is to come into work late and leave late so I'm not wasting time or working for free.
Frown: Found out after showing up two hours later than usual that her practice got cancelled...

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Cool find. I still have that map and manual and they're fun to have, useful too. I used to have all the old Valiant Mario comics as they're goofy fun. I do have one of the two hardback collections of those things with the others they did too, wish I had the just Mario one but I always forget to pick it up. So, I think it's time to poke around ebay and see if it's up or down as it goes all over the place.
BIG SMILE:
Bone! Thanks for reminding me. Of all the dumb luck of ebay. Someone just posted both the books in a set for $35 shipped and listed them as NEW. I've rarely seen the Mario one alone go for that alone in good shape. Now I've got a spare though, I'll possibly save it for my kid when she's a little older so the nicer one doesn't get wrecked.

Smile: I've finally completed the pre-engineering program at my school and am ready to transfer to the state university. It seems like it took forever, but it's just been two long years. I've also put a small dent into my 3rd year and completed all the bullshit electives, so I'm a bit ahead of schedule too.
Frown: Other than learning some programming tricks through the Java and C++ courses, all I've really gotten out of it so far is useless procedural academic math and learning just how much it really sucks ass to work on a team with incompetent programmers. I hope engineering really does pay off, I can't seem to shake the notion that I'll just end up back in a dead-end electrician job with 4 years pissed down the drain. But I guess at the end of the day a BSE couldn't hurt, and it needed to happen if I want to have a chance at getting ahead regardless.
