Canon makes good printers and scanners, I've found. Canon pretty much invented modern laser printer technology. I think every laser printer company still pays some kind of royalties to them on the technology.

Washington DC has just outlawed this practice, but it won't go into effect until 2017 since the police budgeted almost $600,000 to their operations that would come from this practice for 2016.
I like this post, it gives me numbers to run!

They give a number of just shy of 62k cash seizures in the past 13 years "on roadways and elsewhere", meaning they may have nothing whatsoever to do with the border - or roughly 4,769 a year, assuming even distribution. It may not be even, but I have no way of knowing that and will work with the data I can find. This is way too many and I am not trying to deny that in any way shape or form.
Yeah, they don't have as much to do with the border, but they do mostly occur on highways, and the police target out-of-towners, because they are the least able/willing to contest the cash seizures. A Canadian license plate on a major highway is a great target for this practice, because they might have brought cash with them and they're not going to come back and file in court just to get a few hundred to a few thousand back.

(Also, man this thread moves quickly! I go to work and come back and I'm 5 or 6 pages behind!)

If it makes you feel any better, I have the German version of the soundtrack, which is properly filed as Lola Rennt. I didn't want to buy the US one because it had a shitty song that had absolutely nothing to do with the movie tacked on the end of it.

So the US version of the film was released by Konami?

I'm assuming you're referring to that horrid song on SOTN? I wish I didn't have to skip that song when listening to that soundtrack.

Yes, I was thinking of that but it also pops out in other Konami games. Metal Gear Solid also has awful pop songs that don't fit the rest of the game.

Stuff about printers/scanners
Well I just bought a printer today. Not for me, for my Mom as an Xmas gift. I was looking at this bad ass Epson but it wasn't in stock. Too bad because I was really impressed with the build quality of it. Compared to all of the Canons and HPs, it was built like a tank. I ended up going with some HP printer. I checked Amazon reviews and it sounds good. The high yield carts seem to last a while, and they're not too pricey either. I really didn't wanna go HP because my Mom currently has an HP printer and it sucks. It takes two different tri color ink carts, they're like $35 each, and they run out really fast. The HP I bought for her today has separate color carts, they're said to last long, and they're not pricey.

If it turns out that she likes it, maybe I'll get one for myself and then just get a separate scanner. I can't NOT have a decent scanner. This Brother printer is nice, but not being able to scan anything besides documents really defeats the purpose of it for me.

I actually really wanted to go with laser printer for myself. I'm just sick of the cost of ink. I know toner isn't cheap, but it last a hell of a lot longer. It also doesn't fucking evaporate, get clogged, waste some during cleaning, etc. But again, the space issues are what kept me from getting one.

Like I said, I was happy with my Canon all-in-one. Print quality was OK, and scan quality was great (like the Xenoblade Chronicles booklet I posted). Ink cost was killing me though.

While the situation is not great, remember not to buy into all the anti-Islamic shit the media is spewing in order to get views / sell papers.

There have been so many corrections in the past 24 hours it is ridiculous.
