I personally love a lot about it. It's a flawed experience, with some real duff moments, but it also has some fantastic parts too. I really appreciate the more platform heavy focus and slowed down gameplay.SNESdrunk wrote:Wait, is this a GOOD Sonic game? SNESDrunk, NES Remix is a fun little title that was mentioned. It is out in the US on a disc now, and I really like the little challenges.
Some of these are really challenging, but I 3 starred all the balloon fight ones. I haven't read into it much, but what are the criteria for three rainbow stars usually?

I agree, Lost Worlds has lots of unique sections and it is a sequel to Colors. Great game and I think it is up there with Colors and Generations.Reprise wrote:I personally love a lot about it. O rly?? This is relevant to my interests. I've heard great things about it but.. I'm a collector. I dislike download-only titles. I know it's the wave of the future, but I want me my physical copy when at all possible.Blu wrote:SNESDrunk, NES Remix is a fun little title that was mentioned. Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

NES Remix 1 was not very well balanced, some stuff came down to nearly luck as they got weird. The sequel remix 2 was a new batch of games and was handled a lot better. The WiiU got both of them stock on a disc.
There's also a mixup version on the 3DS too which has a sharing of both games, but oddly not everything both has probably so they could try and cross sell both as unique games. I'm considering buying the 3DS title.

Mario Kart 8 won game of the year for Wii U
I think it deserves it. My only problem with that game is that its more or less the same game since '96 which kills the excitement for me. If it was the first Mario Kart ever I think many people would pick a Wii U just to get their hands on it. Its solid gameplay, easy to pick up, hard to master, and fun for everyone.

Still love the Wii-U, though I have been neglecting it lately for Destiny... but yeah. I LOVE Hyrule Warriors. Not big on the Smash Brothers games, so I don't own that one. It does look rather fun though... for a Smash Brothers game.

Would you say it's perhaps Kart of Duty then?
Same thing every release with just a different coat of paint and slight tweaks so if you've done it for a decade or more now the thrill is worn off? That's my issue with it as I detest online and the single player is just old now, and sadly kind of has gone all mario party with the non-randomness of all AI picking on the human whatever the place you're in. I just miss the original, the n64 and gba releases as they were the most interesting.

wtf? Have you even played Mario Kart 8? The crazier levels make the entire thing feel radically different from the rest.Tanooki wrote:Would you say it's perhaps Kart of Duty then?Same thing every release with just a different coat of paint and slight tweaks so if you've done it for a decade or more now the thrill is worn off?
