telling a girl how much you love video games

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Or find a girl who likes you for who you are.

I got one, and it rocks.
Hey fuck you and your damn luck.

Seriously though, how do you even find someone like that? What's the name of the quest?
I think it's just like those rare items that monsters drop in RPGs. Just live your life, and the right girl drops at some time with a chance of 1/64000.

be honest. if she's not into the whole thing you might be able to get her addicted to something like the wii, ds, anything mario for starts.

my best friend, rach, is not a girl thats into games at all, she tried to play left 4 dead once it didn't work out. but she's easily addicted to mario games and her ds.

i have some work friends that are about to get married he is addicted to all kinds of shooter games and she loves wow.

so there are different kinds of gamers out there.

Is there really that much of a stigma? A lot of people play video games in one form or another. When I met my wife I told her I was kind of a dork and I like games, sci-fi, etc. If they're not into that or can't be with someone who is, keep it moving. You guys should check http://www.gk2gk.com/

My GF's parents have an antique habit, so she's pretty much used to having useless crap scattered around the house. She told me once that she expected my collection to keep getting bigger. I've taken that as carte blanche to fill the basement with antique electronics. Just yesterday I bought a Colecovision, Odyssey 300, APF TV Fun, and she just laughed as I walked in. She has her own room for art, and we both enjoy the game room, so it's really not a problem. I just wish I could get her to play with me, but she just likes to watch.

You know it is actually possible to meet someone that likes you, now I'm not about to get all flowery on you but it could happen, some people do actually like each other.

It doesnt have to be someone thats as geeky as we are either, my wife is in no way geeky, but we are best mates and she has no problem with my collection of games and hardware.

Haha! That was funny  . I read your post and then your sig immediately after, thinking it was part of the post. Someone repelled you with a shotgun to the head, by the way.

I met my wife back when I wasn't doing much gaming (four years ago). I guess the geek in me was in hibernation at that point in my life.

We met at one of my band's shows. To me, it always feels like you own the place where you are playing, so I also had this 'confidence' thing you guys were talking about earlier. So, at that point in time, I appeared much cooler than I am in reality, I guess.

I actually got back into gaming about a year after we met. She's been cool with it even though she never really played much before. Now she's a puzzle game addict, and she's been sampling my DS more and more often lately.
