There are few things that make it bad. The framerate is very low most of the time mostly due to the fact the screen fills up with ninjas. The attacks you get seem rather weak some punches the occasional kick and a useless spinkick wich only seems to work when you can´t hit anyone. And these two things alone should not be in a beat em up.
But despite that i kinda like this game. For two reasons mainly the story since it´s just so silly.

and yes it does seem im bad enough now lets beat up some ninjas..thats it for the story like i said silly and kinda funny too.
Now i usually don´t talk about sounds or music in games unless there is something worth mentioning and usually i´m too busy writing about gameplay and story. But since there is so little of that in Bad Dudes i might as well mention the strangest sound in a nes game ever. And that is also the second reason i like this game.
See that boss battle..well if you beat him and that isn´t hard. You get to hear something im pretty sure is the bad dude saying "IM BAD" but i can only guess since it sounds nothing like that. But it is kinda funny and in fact i´d say it´s a reason just to try this game and finish one level you just gotta hear that sound.
In conclusion this game fails to be a decent beat em up but it has a silly plot and the "IM BAD" sound.
Give it a shot but don´t pay for it.
