Mario Kart 8 is the only new release ive played in 2014, and would be my GOTY 8)

Unless you count World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, but meh, im obsessed and i wouldnt count it toward a GOTY list.

In my opinion, MMO's and MOBA's and such games shouldnt be counted, i mean these are games that dont really end, i mean you can actually beat Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Mario Kart 8.

I do have Shovel Knight and should feel ashamed to not have played it through.

Really? I think Hobie and I have the multiplayer version and would be willing to play.

I'll be different and say Sunset Overdrive. I had a lot of fun with it, there's lots to do, the game is over the top and doesn't take itself seriously. The punk soundtrack is a refreshing change and it's pretty to look at. Plus it's an exclusive release which is becoming a rare thing today. Nice to see Insomniac back to form.

I've played a lot of the bigger releases this year such as Titanfall, Destiny, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS, etc. It was a fairly decent year for releases; however, 2015 is going to be insane.

If yall see me online, hit me up. I have the season pass so you get access to all DLC without having to upgrade.

I didn't play many new releases this year. I missed out on most of the AAA new releases, but did play some indie titles. I couldn't even come up with 10 games I played from 2014 on PC. I also was working a lot the first half of the year, and traveling a lot the latter half, so much of my gaming was done while in transit on my Galaxy S4. I've never owned a handheld gaming system before, so it has been fun to play on the go for the first time, even if it is on a touch screen instead of a dedicated gamepad. I tend to like games that are designed with a touchscreen in mind.

My favorite 2014 releases are...

PC
1. Shovel Knight
2. Freedom Planet
3. Distance
4. Hexcells Infinite
5. Crimzon Clover
6. A Wolf Among Us
7. Astebreed
8. Secrets of Raetikon
9. Tobias and the Dark Sceptres

Android
1. Rayman Jungle Run
2. Pinball Arcade
3. The Rhythm of Fighters
4. Flash Out 2
5. Terra Battle
6. Badland
7. QuizUP
8. Major Mayhem
9. The Devil's Attorney
10. Out There

isn't Distance still in Early Access? I mean... how fleshed is it? Does it feel like a finished game?

I bought that single player preview thing that was pretty disappointing. I don't think playing Talisman online will be anywhere near as satisfying as sitting around the table doing so, but I might be game to give it a go at some point.
