Read the comic.

Glad you are liking it, I also think it gets weaker as it goes on, but still I think it is up there with TWD season 1, that said I am a fan of Fables.

Sonic CD is a brilliant game although it doesn't necessarily appeal to the same person that loves Sonic 2 so much. It's much more slow and methodical and focuses heavily on exploration. I didn't bother getting all the gems but I did get all the good futures. I played with the Japanese soundtrack which is in general better than the US tracks but neither are anything less than great.

Total for 2014: 52

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - PS4
I was not planning on getting the latest Call of Duty, but it was a gift for my birthday. I played through the single player in the hardest difficulty and I enjoyed it.The story is predicable and corny, but you know what you are getting in for with a COD game and I really enjoyed it for what it was.

The multiplayer is pretty much every other Call of Duty game, now with double jump.

Pokémon Platinum Version - DS
This is the first Pokemon game I have played single the second generation games (Gold/Silver) and I have to say, I loved playing it. I purchased it because I got it cheap but once I started I quickly had found myself playing it most nights before bed. If I see other games in the series on the cheap I will be buying them. Hard to buy these online as every second seems to be fake.

Titan Attacks - PS4
This nice little indie game is pretty much Space Invaders, now with leveling up weapons, stats, etc. For that it is a really fun game to sit down with. I got every trophy and 100% with two small sittings so it is quite easy as well.

The Longest Journey - PC
And so ends my over a decade long habit of starting and not finishing The Longest Journey, I would always stop on one of the puzzles that relating to aligning things correctly and as I don't use walk throughs for P&C's I would just forget about it until I felt I had to start it again to enjoy the game. Well not this time!

The game itself is amazing, it took me awhile to get the resolution restrictions under control because it is an old game, but once it is all set up you are good to go. The voice acting is amazing, as is the story. I loved jumping between a dream world and an awesome steam punk world, hard to decide which I preferred. I am gearing up for Dreamfall so that I can move onto the new episodic games, which look amazing.

Watch Dogs - PC
I got this game at launch at really struggled to get into it. It doesn't really flow that great and the main character is so unlikable it is not funny. I decided after I hacked all the CTOS (The eagle points from Assassins Creed) I would just stick to the main story missions, which I did. Once I dropped all the boring side mission stuff, I enjoyed the game a lot more and left it thinking that it was an okay experience, but the side content is utter trash.

Whenever a game gets a ton of hype/praise, so some reason I tend to not want to play it. That's what happened with FEZ, but now I kind of feel bad because I reaaally enjoyed myself while playing it. I'm awful at platformers, but this game managed to make me not frustrated and awful (which is what usually happens). Plus I really liked the levels, music, art, and how different some of the puzzles were. I couldn't solve most of the really cool ones though haha. So yeah, I can see why it gets a lot of praise now XD

Also... 40 games beat woot. I might be able to beat one or two more before 2015, but I'll probably be playing RPGs over the break so I doubt it will be much more than that (but this is already a ton more games than usual so I don't mind ha)

31- Alice Madness Returns (PS3)
32- FarCry 3 (PS3)
33- God of War Chains of Olympus(PS3)*

34- God of War Ghost of Sparta (PS3)*

Well this one is actually a step up from the previous one, the port is equally as lazy. Now this is... more god of war... i remember enjoying this games more but maybe because they were on the PSP and had the wow factor of "SUCH GRAPHICS" on a tiny handled or maybe my taste had change a bit, that's quite posible.

Now the game itself is like i said before more GoW so if you didn't like the other games this one won't change your mind. That being said it you like the other games in the franchise this game is nice for a quick play and has some pretty cool extras after you finish the game. The most important it has a nice costume selection and two sets of challenges the second one must be unlocked at the "Temple of zeus" that is basically like the crypt in mortal kombat where you "sacrifice" red orbs to unlock things. These can be videos, art work, alternative costumes or even Zeus itself to play in the arena. In the arena you can set your own combat selecting the enemies you want to fight and the amount that appear and if they respawn or not, this is also the only and best way to get red orbs to unlock the other extras. You unlock more enemy sets to fight at the temple of zeus too. Even when it is a bit limited in the settings is a welcome adition for a quick play.

But it's been a fun time hanging out w/ these fellas, and looking forward to finally booting up Pre-Sequel w/ them since I've gotten pretty good at sniping dudes in the mouth and I've yet to finish my single player campaign.

51. Space Quest (PC)

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands - This is one of my favorite games of all time on PC; a game that I only now finally beat. Dark Sun is a TSR D&D game set in a world ravaged by magic. Sorcerer Kings from the past used powerful magic at the cost of turning the world into an arid desert devoid of life. Around this landscape are huge city states that take huge influence from ancient Central American, African and Eastern cultures.

You play a party of slaves thrust in the arena of Draj. As you escape, you uncover a plot by their sorcerer king Tectuctitlay to destroy the various villages around the city and sacrifice them to ascend into godhood. You are tasked with forging bonds with the nearby villages and rallying them up against the evil king. The game has a great combat system and a really interesting storyline. What makes the game so special is that every character, dungeon and magical item has a rich history that you can uncover. Also, with this is a huge bevy of sidequests that really help lift up the world and tantalize the imagination. Loved it to death!

Sonic Generations - Sega put this game up in the Humble Sega Bundle and I felt the need to put money down to get it. The most recent Sonic game I have played was Sonic Heroes and it left a horrible taste in my mouth. Everyone has been saying that Sonic Generations is great and I had to see for myself. they were right. This game was a joy to play. The plot was very simple, especially since it dealt with time and space, but I felt that the meeting of the two eras of Sonic was handled wonderfully. I enjoyed playing both the 2D and 3D levels and at no point did I feel out of control of Sonic.

The only gripe that I really had was with the final boss, as the methods on how to beat him seemed unclear and I had a difficult time getting the rings necessary to stay alive. A small gripe, as I pretty quickly figured it out.

I feel that I could definitely spend more time on the game to 100% and not feel bored or just going through the motions to complete it.

Gone Home - I don't care what anyone says, I consider this a game and I consider it to be phenomenal. I was along for the emotional ride and I felt like it took me to good places. After recently finding out that I was going to be a father to a beautiful baby girl, the story had an even more pertinent tale that tugged at my heartstrings. I'm not going to lie, but I was weeping like a babe over this beautiful love story. It deserved all the credit it received and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the home and looking at every piece of every character's story to unravel such a vibrant dichotomy.

Space Quest - After such an emotional outing, I decided to lighten things up and fired up the original AGI release of Space Quest. I love parser games and grew up with this series on my Apple IIgs. This particular title was the second Space Quest I had beaten as a youth, Space Quest 2 being the first. I always loved the mixture of the whacky death sequences and mind bending puzzles. Looking back at it now, the game is very flawed, but very fun. If you know what you are doing, you can beat the game in about a half an hour, but then you miss out on the slapstick in the said death sequences.

I found the arcade sequences in the game to be very frustrating. The first sequence is riding a sand speeder, avoiding rocks as you travel through the desert. That game is insanely challenging and required me to slow the game speed down to its slowest setting and even then found it to be challenging.

The second sequence is a simple slot machine which relies on sheer luck and endless amounts of saving. If you were to play this at normal speed, you would be here for hours trying to get the buckazoids needed to move on. Had to set the speed to its highest setting and just spam the bet with hopes of getting there. It took me a good 10 minutes of constant trying to finally get there though.

Gonna be firing up Space Quest II and see what happens. Been so long since I've played these guys!

Games Beaten: 2013 2012 2011 2010

I've made no secret of my unabashed love for all things Dragon Age. Origins is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite game of the last generation and I thought Dragon Age 2, especially once all the DLC was added, was better than most people gave it credit for. I strongly recommend both of them.

Dragon Age: Inquisition was my most anticipated game of the past few years, and it is fair to say that it met all the lofty expectations I had: it is pretty much everything I could have ever wanted in a Dragon Age game. I clocked 60+ hours to get to the credits, and there's still so much more that I CAN do that isn't just simply little fetch quests and the like - there's so much to explore and so much depth to the game (including an impressive variety of truly interesting side quests) that it is very easy to get lost in the world for many, many hours. Though each "open world" area is walled off from one another, I would guess that the total explorable gameworld is easily 2-3 times the size of something like Skyrim. The writing is the best in any WRPG in recent memory (which makes it better than most RPGs, period), and the sense of player agency in mutability is better and more nuanced than in most Bioware titles. As much as I adored the first two DA titles, this one is Bioware's masterpiece.

Now....to get to 100.

For my next trick, I will attempt to beat 14 games in 17 days!
