Nope. :( Exclusive to PSN. I hope they reconsider. The irony is that the type of person/fan that enjoys or is willing to buy Yakuza 5 probably wants a physical release.

Yup, it sucks, because I'm sure, as you state yourself, Yakuza fans are probably the type that would want a physical release. I know I want one (I might just import the Asian/Japanese version and put up with the language barrier). I can understand it's a niche title these days though, so they might not deem it profitable enough to justify the costs involved in a physical release.

Best to support this kind of thing regardless. It's better than nothing.

It's possible the UK might see a physical release. I have seen instances where the U.S. gets digital only and the UK gets a disc.

Was hoping we would get the HD remake of 1 and 2 since Yakuza 2 is so ridiculously expensive now.

This is brilliant news. I'll pick it up, and I still need to play 4 and Dead Souls.

As a massive fan of this series, I'm thrilled people are getting some way to play it in English, even if it's only digital.

I've long since beaten the import and it's absolutely stellar. The Kenzan spin-off was also quite good, and I'm playing Ishin right now. Even the PSP games were quite impressive and fun despite being from, iirc, another developer.
