So, I have been in a rut for about a month or so. But since yesterday I've felt like the happiest man alive. Feels good. I've wonderful friends and lots to look forward to, including a hike with an absolutely stunning woman tomorrow. I have no reason to get down on myself.

My coworker said something along these lines that really just hit me like an epiphany. I've heard stuff along these lines before but it really never made sense to me until now.
At the end of the day, if you don't try you'll forever be filled with regret. As long as you try, even if you fail, you at least know in confidence you gave it your best. Nobody regrets the things they have done more than the things they haven't. At least I don't think so. So ya know. Fuck it. Go do something that seems crazy. Go do something you aren't sure about. Maybe it will work out. Maybe it wont. Life's too short to not know.
I, foolishly, like most people my age thought I had things figured out. I thought I understood stuff like this. I certainly didn't though. And there's plenty of stuff I still don't know. And that's okay. Till the day you die there's room for ya to grow as a person.
So, in short YOLO!? Just kidding, it's good to see someone with an outlook like that Ryan, good for you. I love the part in bold, that's the mark of a wise man.

Seriously BMF. These youngins don't even know what a barbaric YAWP is, much less how to sound it over the rooftops of the world!

(I'm kidding, Ryan. I just couldn't resist the Dead Poets Society reference.)

Ticked - Did not get enough accomplished last weekend

Smiled - I did however get the pool cover fixed (rebuilt the sump pump to do so), cleared out alot of tapes and dead pc components, fixed a bunch of pcs that needed to be combined, setup the Christmas tree, and bought a car. Since my Taurus voted last month it was time to upgrade to a 2012 Corolla. Having a vehicle with heat and a CD player is pretty awesome, its like cutting edge 1988 technology!

Ticked - Wicked headache means I am less likely to finish up my PC projects this weekend.

The internet, along with all cell phone signals, crapped out today due to shitty weather. It's back now, obviously.

Smile: Was an okay day. Wrote some music which turned out alright.

Frown: Couldn't get ahold of my friend and she hasn't replied back. Ugh. I hate being left in the dark. We've been planning this for a week and a half. :?

Pick an attitude and stick with it.

Unless it's a shitty one. Then make a change.

:D Alive and doing well. Internet has been spotty lately, so I don't tend to do much except wait for YouTube videos to load.

:D Own a Wii U for lots of family fun. We only have the two pack-in games: Super Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land, but we'll hopefully be getting more soon.

:( PSO2 is blocking US ISPs. I got around it on the PC, but it's a bit tougher on the Vita.

:D Woke up about a week ago to loud meowing coming from under the house. So... we now own a cat. She looks a lot like Chi from "Chi's Sweet Home", so that is her name.

 First month's electric bill is $300. I keep most of the lights turned off, even during the day. Lady on the phone said that it spiked during the cold days last month, so I guess we gotta watch the thermostat.

:) Randomly ran into my old boss working at a Big Lots up the road. Had no idea he moved down here too. We were both super surprised, and he told me if I ever needed a job to just call him. Great to know we have something to fall back on.

:( I'm really enjoying the stay-at-home dad thing. It's just that I just feel... worthless. I can't really get a job because of Kit's work. We still share the car and I'm in charge of watching my daughter. If she gets a Death Call, she has to leave immediately, meaning she always needs the car handy and always needs somebody to watch the kid. You can't really schedule when people drop dead...

 Lost a close friend on December 5th. His pace maker stopped functioning. I'm trying to make it back next weekend to see the family/friends. I'm touched that so many of my old co-workers kept me in mind and let me know what was going on. Sucks to see somebody around my age go so soon. I hate when people lie about the dead, but he really was an extremely friendly and outgoing person. There's not many people out there who truly don't care who you are or where you came from. He just wanted to make everybody smile... and get high at work.

tl;dr
Life is good. Got Wii U and a Cat. Going a bit crazy at home. Saw old friend. Lost another friend.

Good to hear from ya Jinkies.

Frown: Christmas Shopping at Ulta is incredibly expensive. $25 for 2oz. of a hair product. That's insane.

I use shampoo and sometimes a comb for my hair.

Being a girl must be expensive.

Smile: Going to listen to a symphony tonight; all Christmas music.
Frown: It's the same damned songs every year. I remember when I was around eight years of age my Father saying while out shopping "Why isn't there any new Christmas music? Same stuff year after year after year".

He makes a good point. Same music, every Christmas.
