What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I find it funny how a lot of old PC games run better on Linux/Mac with WINE than they do on Windows 8. XP

Oh my god.
I've debated getting one for my wife. She is a baker; previously professionally, but now just casual since she's at home. She's really not into gimmicky kitchen stuffs - but I keep hearing and reading good things. I may just pull the trigger.

It's a nice, solid baking dish. Nonstick so the brownies just pop out, and it does exactly as advertised and gives you those delicious edges on both sides of the brownies. I plan on seeing what else bakes up good in here.

So. This Edge brownie pan.

Have you used it multiple times? I ask because I wonder how durable the pan is and how easily it scratches.

Mjmjr, has your wife ever baked with A USA Pan, pan? Their Goldtouch series is incredible.

I just got it Friday night and did my first batch last night. It comes with a silicone spatula so I don't know if it's going to be in a position to get scratches any time soon; It has a nice edge on it that I used to cut my brownies after they had cooled. It's hand wash and a pretty thick and heavy aluminum; it's noticeably heavier than the regular brownie pans I have.

I always feel like the best part of a brownie pan full of brownies is the part in the middle away from the edges...

The center square of a Chicago-cut pizza is worth fighting over.

smile: My wife told me she was upset because she wanted to get me Monument Valley and Transistor for Christmas but neither were "on disc." We had watched the Video Game Awards on Friday night and apparently she took notes.

Supersmiles:

So, I have been in a rut for about a month or so. But since yesterday I've felt like the happiest man alive. Feels good. I've wonderful friends and lots to look forward to, including a hike with an absolutely stunning woman tomorrow. I have no reason to get down on myself.

My coworker said something along these lines that really just hit me like an epiphany. I've heard stuff along these lines before but it really never made sense to me until now.
At the end of the day, if you don't try you'll forever be filled with regret. As long as you try, even if you fail, you at least know in confidence you gave it your best. Nobody regrets the things they have done more than the things they haven't. At least I don't think so. So ya know. Fuck it. Go do something that seems crazy. Go do something you aren't sure about. Maybe it will work out. Maybe it wont. Life's too short to not know.
I, foolishly, like most people my age thought I had things figured out. I thought I understood stuff like this. I certainly didn't though. And there's plenty of stuff I still don't know. And that's okay. Till the day you die there's room for ya to grow as a person.
Older. Not wiser.
