looking for Saturn 3D pad magnets

Post by emurozii »

my saturn 3d pad's L trigger does not work. it is missing the magnet. does anyone know if it's possible to buy these online or in stores? i'm hoping it's a generic part and any same-sized magnet will work?

The closest I've seen is on those fridge magnet butterflys made outta hot glue and wires. Unfortunately, looking at how the mechanism works, I think that they're fairly attuned to the perfecly sized magnets they're built with. Your best bet imo is an ebay lowest price "for repair or parts" auction. Problem is it's trigger magnet probably just popped out.

Hmm, since nobody else has a suggestion, I've been thinking...
The sensors are proximity based, if you could find 2 magnets of the same size, and replace both of them, you would only need to clip them down to size equally with side cutters or a grinder or something while testing the dead zones of both triggers.
If you got one of those USB Saturn adapters that works with a Saturn 3D controller from ULAO (Blissbox) or Raphael (Raphnet) you could use windows' controller interface to see the data (0-255) for eack trigger press, and adjust the magnet size you need to make the dead zones properly register.
Worth a shot.
