Yeah, that is what I figured people would suggest the most.

Also, Bone, do you have any ideas on the accessibility of Obitus, Might & Magic III, and Wizardry V? How well do they control?

Wizardry V isn't too bad on the SNES. I almost prefer it to the PC.

Might and Magic III is really tedious without a mouse.

Obitus is just a sub-par game on any platform. Good luck with that one.

This reminds me, now that I have a Retron 5 I kinda wanna check out Might and Magic II on SNES. I believe it's the only PAL-exclusive SNES RPG.

Just that one and Terranigma as far as I know.

Yeah, but apparently so did Might and Magic II on the Super Famicom.

Not quite. The Japanese and PAL versions of Might and Magic II are actually two completely different ports developed by two different companies. Both are based on the same source material obviously (the computer game).

Here they are on GameFAQs:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/580136-might-and-magic-ii
http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/662934-mig ... ic-book-ii

The Japanese one is "Book II." The other one is PAL only.

Visual differences:

It's similar to how the NES and Famicom have two different Fantasy Zone ports:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/nes/958302-fantasy-zone-tengen

Or Nintendo Tetris vs. Tengen Tetris and so on...

Assuming they're all true, it's pretty neat what you can do with the glitches in the first DKC.

And I would play Soul Blazer before playing Illusion of Gaia.
I vote Illusion of Gaia, I'd be curious to see what you think of it Ack. Personally... I can't say I liked it all that much. But I honestly think it has something to do with it probably having a terrible translation. I'm never really picky about that, but the story and dialogue were super bad haha, and something about it just didn't seem right.

I liked Soul Blazer a lot more, but most say otherwise. Then Terranigma came around and perfected everything these two started.

They're all loosely somewhat of a trilogy, so it does makes sense to play them in order if possible. Soul Blazer almost feels closer to ActRaiser though.

I miss Quintet. :(

Soul Blazer should be played first. Yes it looks and sounds very similar to Actraiser.

Of course I skipped over IOG too and beat Terranigma.
