Decided to bump this old post -- mine just arrived today in the mail. It looks quite good. I have to find time to open this up, screw the collector criers over this one it has to be played.FerretGamer wrote:For anyone interested, they just announced a limited physical edition of Retro City Rampage DX for the PS4. I got mine a few days ago as well. I haven't opened it yet either but I will get around to it at some point. Thank you, never ending backlog.Tanooki wrote:Decided to bump this old post -- mine just arrived today in the mail. It looks quite good. See what the poachers have got so far for it? Seems to range from $130 on the lowest to 200 on a freak highest value so far sealed with the added fun package thrown in.
I may just fire it up this evening, it just depends as I'm like sucked into Diablo 3 so much right now I haven't touched LBP3 which I got a week ago.

Insane. I actually had the regular version of Retro City Rampage on Steam so I know what to expect as I've played it on there.Tanooki wrote:See what the poachers have got so far for it? I was just super happy that hey made a physical version of this. I like stuff on my shelf and also to support physical media.

Whoa, how come I'm still waiting for mine?
Do you get a dispatch email or anything to confirm when it's sent?
Edit: Never mind, just checked my email and I did get shipping confirmation. And obviously, I'm in the UK and will need to wait a good week or two (or three or four with it being so close to Christmas

Oh cool, thanks for the heads up! Pre-ordered
Type-0 is probably the first FF thing I've been excited about since...probably XII.

Yeah definitely sounds more interesting than ff1 right now(which I can't play thanks to my stupid memory card which I'll sort out sooner or later or give it another whack later on next year). I'll probably pre-order later this month and make it my third-ish physical ps4 game(most of my other games on the system are digital and I don't like the fact of that

Re: The PS4 thread
I'm strongly considering that package too. Normally I never buy collector boxes with all the fluff as it goes right up on the shelf. The thing is I love reading manga, and the fact there's a 200page manga in there to read that is tempting, but so is the 15 audio track CD too. Usually SE I've seen with like Bravely Default and Theaterhythm they'll just do a simple art book or they talk up a CD but then just shove like 5 tracks on there of random junk which is just a mean tease for an upsell. Sure this one has the art book too, but it's a big one in at 80 pages and the steel case as well. You're actually getting the added value in the items for one being worth the dough.
I really do need to look more into Type-0. It's on my to buy list but I just wasn't sure if I'd do it right away or later on. If they handle (mis-handle?) it like FF13 it could drop 10-20 in price not too far off from release, especially if they again milk the engine to make another trilogy.
The FF15 demo would be enticing too for the few hours of play it would have, but I really know nothing on that one other than it's not another lame MMO with a number on it.

Re: The PS4 thread
You should read the wikipedia and watch some vids, the wikipedia article on it makes it sound really enteresting and what tidbits we already have about the game(fan translation eliminated for it basically) it still seems like one that won't be too botched up hopefullyTanooki wrote:I'm strongly considering that package too.
