I bought it but haven't played it yet. Reviews all said the game could be good but it is "too hard". That makes me want to beat it out of spite against the candy assed "game critics" that permeate this industry.BoneSnapDeez wrote:So who's played Natural Doctrine?
It's been getting slaughtered in reviews. Makes we want to play it.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
I've enjoyed many RPGs that the critics hated or found mediocre. Children of Mana and Time and Eternity come to mind.
But lately I've been watching videos and reading about the mechanics of Natural Doctrine. Now it looks legitimately bad to me. Like, so bad I wouldn't want to risk spending money to find out.
Let us know what you think.

What was the consensus on the Vita TV? Did anyone here get one?

Re: Playstation Vita thread
When I play I will report on it. To be honest I don't know if that will be any time soon though. There's a lot of other SRPGs I'm interested in playing before this one. Good news is, at this rate Natural Doctrine will probably be $9.99 this time next year.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Let us know what you think.

Ahem
FerretGamer wrote:So, I received the PS TV yesterday and returned it today. Sony needs to let this one bake in the oven a little more.
The PS4 remote play is pretty lousy (worse performance than on the Vita itself). The game compatibility is all sorts of jacked up. Netflix doesn't even work out of the box. I think Sony needs to quickly address a lot of these problems or else the average consumer will not be interested.
In other more positive news, the Senran Kagura physical set is really nice.
To be honest ps tv does sound kinda nice, but unless they've given it quite a few updates I'd give it some time(seriously though I'm considering it just for the fact of having one even if I don't really "need" it only because it's a cartridge based semi-home game system
Also why does no one here(beside me to be honest) talk about freedom wars anymore? Seriously that game is freaking awesome, I started playing it a few days ago and have already knocked 13,000 off my sentence and it's addictive(seriously told myself several times this morning i was going to set it down and go to sleep and kept playing more instead until the 10th time I told myself to set it down

The PS tv standalone is now $79.99. I think it is a permanent price drop for it. I will probably own one again at some point. I'm just waiting to see Sony roll out some improvements to it.darsparx wrote: To be honest ps tv does sound kinda nice, but unless they've given it quite a few updates I'd give it some time(seriously though I'm considering it just for the fact of having one even if I don't really "need" it only because it's a cartridge based semi-home game system)

I may suck at the combat sometimes but man it's definitely worth the new price for it ^_^
I picked up Freedom Wars for $11.99 ($7.41 to be exact after a reward certificate) from Best Buy, so I'll be trying it out shortly.

Yeah I think i got mine from walmart but it's definitely worth it and a big time suck(didn't know I liked monster hunter type games but guess I learn something new every day, it's worth it for the time suck it's been). Though I'd probably pick up the bundle for it just because I don't have the games it's bundled withFerretGamer wrote:I picked up Freedom Wars for $11.99 ($7.41 to be exact after a reward certificate) from Best Buy, so I'll be trying it out shortly.

Interested to see both of your opinions on this one. I've been interested, but it's gotten mixed response.dsheinem wrote:Me too! I hope to have some thoughts before the end of the year...FerretGamer wrote:

If it was as cheap as that over here I'd have jumped on it too ¬_¬
Re: Playstation Vita thread
I'll say this, it's good and has some nice funny moments. And I think one of the key devs on it wasn't far off in comparing it to real life now a days...also it may be getting some of those mixed reviews if they're getting to code level 4. Not going to lie there's a difficulty spike right as you do the exam to get in and augmentations(add up to a cost of 10). With one being defense since there's not really much in the way of armor since all clothes are done through remodeling and obtained through entitlements. It also is nice enough not to give you the same mission several times in a row
since I think there's at least 6 different mission types(I could be wrong). I've gone from recovering citizens, to sneaking past guards in a area in cell garden, even escorting a citizen in a abductor(weird since you're usually fighting those but every panopticon uses them in different ways and against each other), gathering some resources, and a few others I'm having trouble recalling right now. That defense augmentation though is a life saver and I could use a second right now though....(but can't seem to remember what mission gives the material for it and what rarity entitlement I need for it). Plus I
freaking love the character customization too, when I get home I ought to take a screenshot of my sinner and accessory(which I restarted not knowing is be able to customize it in code 4 but it's not hard to get back to level 3 just hard as snot to do code 4 quests for me). I also ought to start really loading myself out with different weapons just way too accustomed to cutting
Also if anyone does play in in Tokyo theres not much beyond the 50 choices for homes and Tokyo sounded as good as any though you can change later if you want to
