Samurai Megas: I first read Johnny the Homicidal Maniac when I was a teenager; I loved it then. When I went back to re-read JtHM in my adult life, I didn't enjoy it as much. It's kind of like Donnie Darko; it seems brilliant to a depressed teenager, but grown men won't connect quite so much. I advise against the low-quality scans. There's lots and lots of hidden words and details that you can only see with a high-quality print. You can buy the trade paperback of the Directors cut brand new for sixteen dollars on amazon. That's half of what I paid in 2002.

Apple: I feel for you.
I'm gonna try to locate a copy at a store, parents don't like ordering online for some reason.

Apple: I don't think that firing was legal. Might want to talk to some legal council.

I don't believe the firing was illegal, but I'd honestly rather not get too into that.

I won't lie, there's a small part of me that's glad I don't have to ever go back to that place, but it's pretty heavily overshadowed by the "what am I gonna do???" feeling.

Oh well, today's a holiday, not much you *can* do I guess. Trying to just relax for now, gonna start hitting applications and such hard tomorrow and through the weekend.

Smile: My friend really appreciated the Metroid gift box. The actual games inside were pretty much inconsequential in comparison. And then we chatted about Metroid a bit, I didn't know the series was so influential for him.

So it was pretty cool.

Sad: because of being home I haven't gotten a paycheck for two weeks and I'm fell back for a month or two and now I'm going to have to hold off for that house till after I get my taxes back

:D : Off work till next Tuesday. Black Friday weekend at Toys R Us wasn't half as bad as I was expecting it to be. All I had to do was run buggies all night Thursday and Friday night things were about average aside from having to stick around till 1am cleaning up the mess that was left behind. They also ordered some really good local pizza and provided drinks + snacks so that saved me from having to buy dinner :).

:(: Dad is extremely sick. Has both the runs and vomiting so we will have to be careful and keep him hydrated if it doesn't clear up by the morning we are going to get him checked out.

:x : Brother has been a prick all day. He drove us up to visit our grand parents to visit my granddad who is having serious heart issues and he was a complete ass the whole way. He was driving 20+ mph over the speed limit, wasn't signaling at all, kept cutting people off, and was riding everyones ass. It's a miracle that we didn't get in an accident. I don't know if he has a death wish or what but I will not be riding in any vehicle he is driving anytime soon. I understand that he is stressed about school but there is no excuse for risking other peoples lives and driving like a maniac.

That sounds like just about everyone driving around here :| (and I look like the ass apparently when I either go the speed limit or 5 above instead of 10 or more wat? ) I've never understood that way of driving

If you want to know something really sad we had people complaining about the "black" people in the doll house sets we had. On more then one occasion I had people specifically ask if we had all white versions of certain sets and then get pissed when we didn't.
