Re: SNESdrunk reviews
haha, I like Link's Awakening more too
. And I don't know if you have played it, but if you haven't, Link Between Worlds is the best Zelda game ever in my opinion, and it's a top down one too

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
It is excellent, and I really enjoyed how it utilized the 3D feature (never even have it turned on but I did for that game). I still think the first Zelda and Link's Awakening are the best in the series with that game a close 3rd.ZeroAX wrote:haha, I like Link's Awakening more too. Good vid.
Link to the Past and Link's Awakening are my top 2 Zelda games.
I have yet to sink much time into Link Between Worlds.
Oh, and nice job avoiding the chickens.

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
This is the first time I will GREATLY disagree with you mate. Super Mario World is in my opinion, by far the most bland 2D Mario platformer till we got the New SMB series. I don't have any nostalgic feelings for either this or SMB3, and yet I played SMW on the GBA and thought it was ok, and then I played SMB3 and it blew my mind. I just find SMW greatly lacking in level design compared to SMB3 or even SML2 (Land 2).
But of course that's just my opinion

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
Really love the points on how it's comparable to Super Metroid in play styles. So true.
Aesthetically, I prefer the blockier style of SMB3 over all of them. I just love how wacky and dream like the whole thing looks and each world was very distinguished. I'm kind of partial to the SNES All Stars version actually, they did a good job updating things will still keeping the unique art style in tact. SMW doesn't stand out as much to me in regards to this.
NSMB I can't really get behind. The Wii U one I liked a lot though, but it was the first one I finished so I wasn't too big on the others.
Huge fan of SMB2 myself. I dig how weird and different it is.
In the end, I still don't think I can decide which one I like more between SMB3 and SMW. They're both classics and have their own strengths.
Yeah, can't really agree with this. I replayed tons of Mario games this year and was disappointed in how insanely short the SMB3 levels are. The SMW stages were probably like on average 4 times bigger. Yoshi and the cape added some additional elements as well.ZeroAX wrote:This is the first time I will GREATLY disagree with you mate.
