What is scripted are the sappy stories and the cheesy music when they talk up something, or how they always seem to have an old/young group, a pair of lesbians or flamboyantly gay dudes, someone with a disability or cancer and stuff like that. Its not like CBS can call ahead and make sure a flight is delayed or a fool misses a ride, or a car gets a flat.
Yeah but you can edit it to create tension/drama where there isn't any. You can make a five second argument into a blow up that lasts an entire episode.

You can also make the whole "our flight's delayed" or missing a taxi thing look like more than it is. The flight gets delayed but they go to the counter and get it changed in five minutes, but on the show there's clips of them staring into space seemingly waiting and the narrator describing how critical the delay is. Then with ten minutes to go, whaddya know? They're back even with the other groups!

I can take or leave those, but I'm glad to see his secondary stuff coming back. I totally understand them using James & Mike Mondays to keep everyone satisfied, but now that the movie stuff is just about over, some semblance of the status quo is welcome.

My favorite thing James and his friends have done is Board James. I loved that series. I wish it would come back with a vengeance. Bootsy, man, that dude is class.

Bootsy has been in a few of the gaming Monday videos when there's 4 player. So the Ivan Stewart Off Road and I think Anticipation or Pictionary or whatever.

I think I enjoy the James & Mike Monday show more than anything else he's made. It just feels a bit more genuine. When James finally beat the Turbo Tunnel in Battletoads after 20 something years of failure, the genuine excitement was pretty amazing.

It really makes me want to shave time out with friends to get their butts on a couch and rock out some games together.

It's something I haven't been able to do in well over ten years.

I'm happy about this too. I always liked his less polished videos.

I never liked AVGN. That dude's about as funny as Dane Cook. Which is to say, he's not funny at all. He's just loud, and he swears a lot. That's about it. I fail to see the appeal.

12 days of AVGN for Christmas? Looks awesome! Nice to see YKWB still going strong too.
