I've seen multiple comments about the 360's failure rate and, while true, I'm not sure why that factors in here. The vast majority of them work just fine, and there will be a ton of used ones to buy for the foreseeable future, and those will only go down in price as the years go by. The NES is the most finicky of popular consoles and no one seems to worry about that when it comes to collecting.

As far as the OP, if you like just trying out new games for the sake of seeing what they're all about then keep everything. I rarely sit down for a few solid hours playing one old game. It's more about collecting and hanging out while popping in a few games I've never played before (or never heard of in a lot of cases). If a game grabs me for an hour or two that's great, but it's more about chilling out and a "wonder what this game's like?" mentality.

If that's not your personality then I'd get rid of anything you don't plan on playing extensively. Be honest with yourself. I just traded House of the Dead Overkill because, well I've had it for 6 months and never played it. The idea was a friend and I would both buy it and get around to playing it "one of these days." Stuff like that just cut the cord. Games you bought just for the sake of buying something that day are easy decisions too. If you can't remember a particular reason why you bought it then it shouldn't be a problem letting it go. Trust me you won't miss them one bit, and it will bring the games you legitimately want to play to the forefront.

Cutting the cord is really what it's about. Over 2 years ago I made a snap grab (lucky just posted $25 BIN) on Lufia 2 w/the map and manual (well loved) with the intent of playing it, but having an infant around, other bs going on, and lack of time it sat never used but to watch the introduction so I sold it. I felt bad never playing it, now I'm happy someone has played it.
