Good episode. Sega CD often gets a bad rap, but I really like the system. Some great RPGs on it.

OK, OK I concede - it's weird maybe people in the car world put more emphasis on the "ar" than I'm used to (James May sounds posher than usual using it) - the guy in the 5th gear clip says it more how I'm used to it ("Jag-u-er")
So really I get that Joe was making the point that the Brits pronounce the long "u" in the word as opposed to saying "Jagwar" (which I have no problem with at all), and I was focusing on the "ar" sound. It's a crazy world!

Re: The Sega CD - Game Sack
Great episode! This system I hold very close to my heart as it was a gift my brothers and I got for Christmas. We picked it as the one gift we could open up the night before and we stayed up until Christmas morning playing it. It came with Sol-Feace, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Vol 1, a slew of music videos and a Golden Axe/Revenge of Shinobi/Columns 3/Streets of Rage remix.
Still have that Generation 1 system, albeit it is now defunct and needs to get fixed, because someone *COUGH*me*COUGH* put the wrong power adapter in it when I was a teen and blew it out.
Aside from a few egregiously expensive titles, the system is a great one to collect for and has some really awesome games including the FMV games, which have their own Je ne sais quoi

Giving Games a Second Chance - Game Sack
Here da vidya clicky clicky ---->
Have you ever had a game where you were glad you gave it a second chance later on? What made you change your opinion... that is if it actually did change?

Re: Giving Games a Second Chance - Game Sack
Great vid as usual. Quite a few a my favourite games I started out hating at first. Stuff like Morrowind, Symphony of the Night, Football Manager and Deus Ex. Glad I gave them all a second chance.
Re: Giving Games a Second Chance - Game Sack
I don't think it's fair to hate a game because of a particular port that you're playing. You hate the PORT, not the actual GAME. Mortal Kombat, Doom, etc.
I'm all about giving games a second chance. As I get older, I find that I can enjoy more and more genres. My opinion has definitely pulled a 180 on games before.

Which is exactly the point I illustrated with Mortal Kombat 2 and Doom.Ziggy587 wrote:I don't think it's fair to hate a game because of a particular port that you're playing. You hate the PORT, not the actual GAME.
