Wasn't that the first of their G&W games, though? I thought it was an hoamge to the one that started it...
Fair point. I did not know that, makes sense.

Wonder how is compares to Ballz.
Come on, Bone. Ballz is the greatest. Balls not so much. It's amazing what that z can do for you.

And Virtual Boy is awesome. *hugs his VB*

Two new Etrian Odyssey games were announced today...

(I am sure it's for 3DS.)

Always nice to see new Atlus games. Although I think the EO teat is being a bit too milked lately honestly.

Wow that franchise is up 5 and it's not even like what 8 years old? It must be pretty good or at least easy to develop sequels for. I have no real good idea why but I've never played one of them before. Perhaps it didn't look standard JRPG enough for me to care, but I really don't know.

As far as first person traditional EO style goes since the series started in 2007:

DS Lite
Etrian Odyssey 1
Etrian Odyssey 2
Etrian Odyssey 3

3DS
Etrian Odyssey 4
Etrian Odyssey Untold
Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 (out in Japan)
Etrian Odyssey 5 (in development)
Persona Q (This might as well be an EO game.)

I'm guessing the games aren't too difficult to produce. All of the 3DS games run off the same engine, that much is obvious.

Mmm. Just like the Atelier games. They're solid games, but I'm not sure we need a new game (and remake!) every single year.

I reject your notion that we need less first person dungeon crawlers with mapping elements. I say to you "good day sir!"

This is true of most everything related to Compile Heart / Gust / Idea Factory / NIS. A massive over-saturation of lackluster games.

Given the length of these games, I begin to wonder if, at a certain point, it takes longer to actually complete one of these games than it does to create it...
