Only 4 runs today, 3 when I woke up, and 1 just now sorta randomly. Started out very poor, only 7 mil after 3 stages, had a monster stage 4, a beast stage 6, skipped the bonus stage and was in hyper almost the entire round until Jitterbug, who I should have just bomb spammed in hindsight, but I only bombed once and wasted 3 lives on him - very frustrating, but also my highest score ever - so good and bad, I guess:

mjmjr25 - The Smorking Section - 69,572,455 - Stage 4-2 (boss) - Rosa - PCB

I've got next to no experience on this game; the only score I have was one in the highscore thread that was never posted to the OP yet.

Unless my team represents I have a feeling it will be a smorkingcastration event.

Get on it and practice! That's what I'm about to do.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

I only have Windia and Casper available in MAME... make sense to anyone?

So apparently Rosa and Follet have to be unlocked on MAME and I'm having difficulty doing so as it requires 2 controllers. :?

From what I remember, you have to hold down, A,B,C (right shot, left shot, and bomb) on the player 2 side, while you enter the code for player 1. If you hit Tab, you can map A,B,C for player 2 onto one button, which should make it easier after that (you don't need two controllers either, a different button on the same controller is fine). If the code is successful, you'll hear a jingle. If it doesn't work, you can keep trying until you hear the jingle; you don't need to quit the credit and start a new one to try again.

Busy week of job hunting ahead, but should hopefully see some improvement. Was surprised how far I made it on only ny fourth run, but scoring is another issue. Anyway, lots of fun.

Nyukki - Big Beefy Bullet Dodgers - 19,981,759 - Stage 4-1 - Rosa - 360

A lot of it seems to be knowing when to do the a+b turbo thing to get the most of all the extra items flying about, the house in the graveyard level and basically all of the volcano level are key parts that I've noticed.
