As much as I'd like this to happen, it won't. They aren't really gamer gamers, it's one or the other and the decision is Xbone.

Well, the NES was designed to look like a VCR because of the video game market crash, what way it didn't look like a "video game toy console". The cart even slides in and down similarly.

Yeah but kinda ironic the one I posted looks similar(though I can't see owning a xbone for the life of me....just because it's microsoft for some odd reason and yeah don't question my preferences on that one XD). Though didn't ever think about that with the NES....kinda wish it looked like the famicom though

I just watched a Yahtzee video where he compared the NES and XB1 in how they both claim to not be video game consoles but "entertainment systems." It's just that while the NES turned out to actually be a video game console, the XB1 turned out to just be shit.

At least the NES was a game console and nothing more....I still don't understand the need for a game console to do 20 other things than playing games(that's why we have chromecast, apple tv, roku, tablets and computers). Maybe i'm just weird but game console should be just that a game console nothing more nothing less

Interestingly enough the PC-FX I just got is a "multimedia entertainment player" according the the box.

Too soon to make a call about the Xbox One. I thought the 360 was crap for many, many years. Now I play it quite a lot.
