A grilled cheese made from egg-in-the-middle sounds amazing. It also sounds like a heart attack. I can't figure out if I want to try it or not.

It's been a hectic day. Just when I think all my work is done, more work piles on top.
<deep breath>
Went grocery shopping. Money is getting tight.
<deep breath>
Came home. Neighborhood dog tore up the garbage.
<deep breath>
Dust pan breaks when I'm trying to sweep up the garbage.
Damnit!
<deep breath>
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

:D - Got a new TV for the house.

:x - Best Buy costumer service sucks ass. They were severely understaffed. I probably walked 3 or 4 times around the massive store until I found someone who then called someone else and made me wait 10 more minutes. Then he arrives and says "Sorry, there's like nobody here today." Yeah, no shit. Then at first he couldn't find the TV and finally when he does it takes in 30 min to bring it out. It then took the manager another 10 minutes or so to come and validate a price match. He also told this old lady to wait for someone to arrive to help her with a TV and even 20 minutes later no one had arrived at which point she just left. I mean I get that they want to save money but fuck, you shouldn't be that understaffed. It wasn't particularly busy either. I was really close to leaving and heading to Walmart, I repeat, Walmart.

I am TICKED OFF! Want to know what really pisses me off in life is when someone makes asinine comments and writes you off if you prove them wrong with FACTS!

Today at work, some guy comes in who is an acquaintance with one of my co-workers. He is bragging that he just picked up two 3DSes. The guy was bragging about how he purchases doubles of every single iteration of the system, because, in around ten years, they will be worth $400. WWWWHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTTT??!!!!!!

My co-worker tells him he wasted his money and drags me into the argument. I tell him that they would be the case, MAYBE 60-80 years from now, because there have been 45 million units...that is a lot of units and the worth only goes up when the quantity goes down and the desire to obtain them goes up.

He tells me I'm an idiot. I ask him what system has been worth over its original retail value? His response is that the GameBoy Micro is worth $400 right now. Call him out on his bullshit. Tell him that color variations and special additions don't go up in value that much unless it is incredibly rare and even then there has to be a demand for it. Guy calls me an idiot and knows nothing about video games, because clearly I don't own ANY retro game systems or else I would know how much they are worth now.

Also tells me that the Atari Jaguar is a MUST HAVE for a collector and if I don't own one I'm an idiot.

I am not going to lie, I threw a tantrum, including stomping and screaming, "NO NO NO!" I lost it. Thank god I was off the clock and not in uniform, because god help me, I lost my mind with frustration at how much in denial this guy was in.

Guy also said he owned 4 Pikachu N64s and that they are worth about $60. I asked if I could buy one off him :P

He said no.

Well, just take comfort that he's helping support the industry and in 5-10 years you'll be able to laugh at his Craigslist/ebay type posts somewhere with crazypants asking prices.

"Investing" in video games is a terrible idea.

That's really all that needs to be said.

That is very very comforting actually...I swear the guy must get his pricing from Craigslist or something. Reminded me of all the people who think their knockoff junk is worth millions.

:D After talking more to the University I was planning to get a second Bachelor's through, they told me I could go straight to Graduate school and onto the path for a Master's in Accountancy despite my Bachelors being in Fine Arts due to my academic record. They also urged me to apply for an assistanceship position with one of the professors. I just need two academic recommendations. I don't foresee that being any issue. As long as everything goes through in a timely manner, I should be able to begin classes in January. This will also make me eligible to sit for the C.P.A. within the next two years most likely. It's a major career change but I'm very excited about my future prospects.

:( Due to this and some other things keeping me busy I wasn't able to post here much during October or get much horror gaming done, although I did do some.
