so I'm hoping to get at least another 10 or write-ups done by year's end. I've mostly just been doing them of random CD's selected by Discogs, but if anyone has any "requests" to help me decide on stuff to listen to, let me know. If it's something I own I'll be glad to have a reason to give it a spin.

k, starting a pile from y'all requests.

Also on the way home we stopped at a thrift shop and I found an album by Original Flavor called This Is How It Is from 1992. I had never heard of Original Flavor but I noticed it said produced by Clark Kent and Damon Dash - AKA the team behind Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt 3 years later. Turns out that Ski was in this group as well, so basically the foundation of Roc-A-Fella here. And it's out of print and there's only a couple copies up on eBay so I lucked out considering it's mint. Paid $2.

thx to Frag's request, I'm in one of those moods where I am reminded how completely incredible Outkast is (was?). It kind of bums me out, cuz I feel like an actual new album will prob never happen. But man, even if they could officially compile their remixes and b-sides it would be legit. I don't know why the label has never tried to cash-in more. I always thought the single remix of "Player's Ball" that features that piano part through the whole thing was better than the album version. And only the single mix of "Da Art Of Storytelling Pt 1" has the Slick Rick verse. And of course there were countless other single remixes: "Jazzybell" and so on. I'm fairly certain that only the album versions were featured on Big Boi And Dre Present. They really need some proper archival releases.

If I have to stick to that then...

Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Public Enemy - Yo! Bum Rush the Show

But eventually you will be getting this:
