I found some e-book, now every one but few of them.
Yeah i was pretty suprised how little is actually transalted.(i found just one fricking book, it makes me prety sad )

(median income in your country) / (average median income of all 4 major English speaking countries) = Y

Then do this: X * Y * (number of copies book has sold worldwide) = chance that specific book will get translated into your language.

It's partly that, partly that these books are all specifically about American history written mostly by Americans and intended to be read by Americans. That and partly that most editors probably couldn't find Slovakia on a map.

Well yes, non-fiction/history books are probably small market in 5 million country
But when i try to find some fictional book, new or old, it's nearly always translated.

But at least i found Cold War in library.

. To be fair have you seen where they are on the map? Even for Europeans they are a pain to pintpoint

I did some volunteer work last year in schools in the southern part of the Czech Republic. One of the school principals gifted us (among other things) a bottle of medovina. He gave it to us saying "this is a traditional Czech drink"....I look at the label "Traditional product of Slovakia"

(I know neighboring countries share traditional recipes, it only makes sense, but I just found funny that he didn't even bother to gift us a Czech brand and yet he said that )

Are the guys in both countries just as crazy? I was friends with an exchange student from the Czech Republic in high school. We called him International Incident Dave because we were pretty sure he was gonna end up on a watch list. That guy was inside, a blast to hang out with and a lot of fun, but tough as nails. And he was totally obsessed with paintball.
