Do you own any repros or fantranslated carts? Which ones?
Re: Do you own any repros or fantranslated carts? Which ones
I used to have a bunch for SNES, (perhaps not as many as ninjainspandex -- nice
) but I sold them off and bought a SD2SNES instead. It just made more financial sense, as well as not limiting what can/can't be played on original hardware.

Re: Do you own any repros or fantranslated carts? Which ones
I have a SD2SNES, but there really is something nice about having a nice repro of a good game that really should of had a US release (or an actual release at all). Just isn't the same playing those on the flashcart. Are there even any flashcarts out yet that can even play Starfox 2 yet, I heard that the creator of the SD2SNES was working on getting Super FX support but haven't heard any developments on it.

Re: Do you own any repros or fantranslated carts? Which ones
Nothing plays the FX games and SD2SNES is probably somewhat of a long shot that's on the ToDo list still.
I was on my tablet before, now that I can see those SNES games back on page one I love the look, they're appearing to be from that picture so well done they look official as they should be!
I think having the Ys games on a legit new parts cart would be great to have among a few others from those pictures like Tales of Phantasia and Secret of Mana 2.

I made custom carts of Earthbound Zero and Chronicles of the Radia War. Sorry, spare copies of Deja Vu. (I did save the ROMs, I can restore if necessary.)

Clock tower is the only one I have. I've since acquired a SD2SNES, but continue to play the repro.

Two for the time being.
Mega Man The Wily Wars
and
Ranma 1/2 Akanekodan Teki Hihou
There are quite a few others I'd like to get.

Does anyone here own BS Zelda? Can you confirm that there is no save feature?
Re: Do you own any repros or fantranslated carts? Which ones
I think I only have a few left. I have Little Magic (SNES) and Bare Knuckle III (Genesis). I think that's it. I do have a few FC and SFC carts that I've been meaning to patch to English versions, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Like what others have said, I've gravitating to using flash carts over repro carts.
The only exception I've made has been for the annual charity auction. Speaking of, are we not doing it again this year?
I agree. I use to make them, as many of you will remember, but this was the main reason I stopped. Although...BoneSnapDeez wrote:Personally speaking, I'm also not crazy about the cart cannibalization that's used to create many of these repros.
I don't mind this at all. Altering a cart with a translation patch, but in a way that it can always be restored to it's original state, is fine in my book.SpoonyBard wrote:I have a Seiken Densetsu 3 translation. But it's on an original SFC cart that included the original rom chip so it can be restored. I'm pleased with it, and if I were to get any more repros, this is the way i'd prefer them to be done.
