i'm hoping for some buying suggestions, as i don't want to end up regretting not getting this or that when i had the chance, but sometimes, i dont know what i want till i know its out there. I'm hoping to bolster my retro gaming collection as i've been limited to famicom, sfc and ps1 for the longest time now. I'm prepared to spend (been saving for this day!), and take note i probably won't have time to go around much, so im going straight to akihabara. but i want to make the most of my chance, as many as possible
here are what's on time of my wish list so far, in order of prefernce
1. framemeister xrgbmini - need advice where i could find this though
2. pc engine duo-r - or should i target duo-rx instead?
3. wondermega - if this is too hard to find, then i could settle for a MD2/SCD combo
4. neo geo cdz - because it loads faster, and the aes would wipe my funds. btw is regular NGCD sturdier? i would rather have slow loading, if CDZ breaks easily
5. 3DO FZ-10 - just because i heard its cheap anyway and i prefer old stuff
6. N64 - only if i find a reasonably priced non grey unit.
7. AD adapter - the one that lets you play GBA on SFC. or should i shoot for a GC/GBA player instead? i guess it depends on the price.
8. SFC jr - another model for me
6. Dreamcast - this honestly just made the list when i heard of utopia...
10. pocketstation - should i bother?
on the fence and other stuff
a playdia just for kicks? a saturn maybe? id like a joystick to go with those old systems, maybe i should get those multi-console sticks? other gamepads. extra adapters and s-video cables for the consoles. maybe a scart cable too since im planning to get a framemeister.
i will only buy games if i actually still have money after getting all those priority stuff. but im prioritizing famicom and sfc carts for games unless i stumble on something like Wily Wars or Hagane
my next issue is how to carry all of that from there (without damaging them too!)
Thanks in advance!
.somewhere deep inside me someone is screaming buy a PS4 and/or a Wii U instead.
