Then you could play Lunar AND something other than spyro on your ps1. Win!
Ha ha yeah though I think I regained spyro awhile back(though I never owned it, it was something I played at my dad's old boss's house when I was waiting on them to finish whatever they were talking about or doing when I was younger....freaking loved that game back then and always wanted to replay it and might just have to eventually). I'll definitely give it another look in a second though $45 doesn't sound too bad compared to some prices i've looked at for it

Edit: I'm ashamed of myself but I kinda wanted that outer box for so i ended up grabbing this copy(and was one of the reasons I wanted to hold off on a deal with another member on something else):

So now all I need is for my ps1 adapter to get here, and that and I'll be somewhat set to play this ^_^ (one of the few games I can justify paying that much for because of my experience playing it vita of this version....newer games not so much unless I play a demo...)

Note to self:
If you refuse his help, Laike has no qualms about watching as my small, underleveled party gets raped in unspeakable ways by goblins.
What a prick  .
BoneSnapDeez wrote:Thing is, when a game has a remake that improves virtually every aspect of the original sometimes it's tough to go back. At this point, if I want to play Final Fantasy I'm more apt to play Origins / DoS / PSP vs. the NES original.
I don't know, I think some games lose something when it gets touched up.
For me Final Fantasy has a greater charm factor with the original pixel art.
I think I've mentioned it before, but I refuse to play the PSP version.
Of course, this could be nostalgia speaking again  .

And again, the original is just a different beast for me. It's one thing to improve something, quite another to change it to the point where the only similarities are the names and a few story elements. I'm exaggerating and I'm not saying that it was a bad thing, just a different experience.

I just bought another copy of the game of the game on Sega CD with different disc art. I'll never have all 6 (or 7, if you count the original non-center-filled) variants, but always wanted this one.
--Edit-- correction, there are only 7 variants, not 8

I do have all 4 of the main PS1 CD artworks though  . The Fan edition would be nice too, but it's not essential for my collection.

Guess I didn't know so many WD games had varying disc art. I only knew about Magic Knight Rayearth. I think I have the Fuu disc, but who the hell knows.

Well the GBA and PSP versions of Lunar are insanely easy compared to the others. This is quite apparent when going back to the PSX version.

That isn't a bad price, darsparx.

Oh yeah, WD was kind of crazy with them.
Here's the PS1 selection of disc art:

I couldn't find pics of the Seqa CD group (that I was happy with anyways, there is an article on sega-16 with pics).

WD games are either a collector's Dream or Nightmare.

Yeah let's just hope I don't end up regret wanting to have at least one game in my collection that is that complete when it comes to stuff like that

Ha! That's pretty wild. Makes me glad I'm not a "game collector."

I can imagine some of the questions those poor eBay sellers must receive. "Who's on the disc? The clothed blue-haired girl or the half-naked blue-haired girl?"

Busy weekend for me. I'll hopefully get back to playing Monday evening.

I have no pity for sellers.
That's what good pictures are for; answers a million questions.

So I leveled a small bit and fought without Laike's help. That'll show him.
Yes I know, I'm way behind, but I don't care, that was as epic as anything for me 8) .

Played with my ascii grip controller the other day (when I was massacred and rage quit). It does work well with RPG's (despite hitting a couple buttons by accident).
Today I played with my Hip Gear screen controller. It has a tiny, grainy screen, but I played in comfort, so I may continue with it.
Too bad the sound is going out on it, so I may have to use headphones.

Should have seen this coming. Went to load my Lunar save, and was asked to format memory. The battery is dead :(

That sucks,
That hasn't happened to me since my FFVII playthrough like a decade ago.
---well, I also had an unfortunate mishap with my Dreamcast saves too about the same time.

Were you using a generic brand? Or is it an official Sony card?
Both of my save losses were on 3rd party cards.
(I think I'm using an off brand now, actually :| , maybe I'll never learn).
Also didn't think they used a battery; I thought they were flash memory.

Well, I'm back to playing on a good old CRT TV. The Hip Gear Screen controller just doesn't do the game any favors.
Just reached Meribia (I'm slow and way behind), and will play a little further, but may throw in the towel if I'm not feeling it.

I think this game is most special the 1st time through. So for all newcomers, I still say you're in for a treat  .

He's playing the sega cd version. I don't know if he's using system memory or a ram cart, but its one of the two.

As to my participation in this, my copy is in the mail. So, soon.
