It seems everyone involved in this is American or Anglosaxon at worse. I don't think anyone in Europe would be so concerned about a tacky shirt because it had non-naked women on it.

I find a general rule of thumb is that if it has "-gate" on it, it's probably not a scandal worth paying much attention to.
