Turns out he currently only sells on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/SegaSaturn/

His name is Ke Kona.
There's a video that was just made that walks you through the process. I haven't tested it myself but probably will in the coming week or so.

Good video dude. As always of course. Didn't know the Retron5 had a wireless controller.

Weird & Awesome Game Controllers

Not every game controller is created equal. Some are creepy and weird, while others are specialized to a particular game or genre. Others... are just bizarre like Drunken Master Paul's brilliant mind. In this video we show the unusual game controllers in the Metal Jesus game collection!

What are some of the more unusual controllers in your collection?

Great video, as always man. Always find your videos entertaining and informative. With the Steel Battalion controller; have you ever set it up and played it? If so, what do you think about its functionality and such?

The Arkanoid controller is a great one to showcase! Did you know that on the Famicom, Chase H.Q. is the only other game (other than Arkanoid 1 & 2) that supports it? Definitely a fun experience. ;)

Odd controllers are always fun, even if they aren't necessarily fun to use. My biggest one is the Battlestation II. Not my video, but I do have a boxed one. I haven't messed with my Splitfish Edge FX that I grabbed new from Gamestop for 99 cents. The Capcom Fighter Power Sticks are pretty cool. There's the Gen one and then the other has swappable cords for NES and SNES.

The Japanese Arkanoid II controller is neat because it lets you plug a J Arkanoid controller into it so both players can play with paddles. I don't have a J Ark I paddle yet to try it out. The J DS paddle controller is pretty sweet too, it works for DS Arkanoid as well as both Space Invaders Extreme games.

I've played the game a little bit at the Seattle Retro Gaming Expo...but that is never enough to fully appreciate the depth of the game or truly get it under control (so to speak). The biggest problem with the controller is the amount of space it takes up. It's freakin' HUGE and I wouldn't be able to do anything else!

I've always loved the look of the Beatmania turntable controllers.

But the most bizarre is probably the specially made light gun for MACS on the Super Nintendo. It's an M-16 trainer that has been modified to serve as a light gun for the MACS rifle range software. It's military hardware that found its way into private collections.

Good luck buying it though. The only time I've ever seen it for sale online, the owner was asking $15k.

I have an Ascii Grip controller (apparently they are cheap to acquire too):

They are kind of neat for RPG or Strategy gaming, but awkward for anything else.

Oh, and best way to play with the Steel Batallion controller is to get a comfy chair with accommodating arm rests to lay the controller right in front of you. That way you have comfortable access to everything without it being too far away (I suppose that a small table or desk would work too).

As for storing it, that's a toughie, but mine has a place of honor on one of my phat tube TVs.
...just another lost soul...
