Nintendo just fails hard at naming consoles/handhelds.

In other news, the 2DS is getting Semi-Transparent Red and Blue models for $100 on November 21st.

Same day as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, ill be picking up Omega Ruby personally.

Those are awesome, but I am quite content with my XL until the "new" one releases stateside.

I'd be all over it if I collected console variations though.

It would be fucking sweet if the 2DS models had like a slot for GBA/GBC/GB games.

Seriously, Nintendo should release an ultimate handheld that plays all of their handheld games. It wouldn't even be difficult for them to do that.

Of course they will never do that because they can charge people to download games on the eShop.

Edit: Speaking of GBC, I wouldn't be able to resist an atomic purple 2DS.

Virtual Boy included? 8)

Nintendo is weird about their handhelds. Anyone remember the Game & Watch they re-released for Club Nintendo? It wasn't Mario or Zelda or Donkey Kong. It was.... Ball.

The question is when will Nintendo release the Wii U 3DS player to boost Wii U sales? It would work perfectly, the gamepad would work as the lower screen and the top screen would of course be the TV. I'd buy that day one.

Wasn't that the first of their G&W games, though? I thought it was an hoamge to the one that started it...

Ball was the first game an watch game. It was a silver series release.

The club nintendo one is a repro of that model and game.

I may be a year off on it, or two, but I think it was almost an anniversary homage to the G&W too as yes it was the very first one out there. Before they were called Game & Watch there was this other name until they consolidated it all under one name going forward, but in either case it was the first with other super basic titles right behind it like Judge. Of all those Club prizes, it's the only one I think that ever had enough value to hold onto, sold the others, still selling the cards but they're gone once someone on ebay snaps them up.

Fair point. I did not know that, makes sense.

Wonder how is compares to Ballz.
