This is the reason why so many CDX units have malfunctioning CD components. Owners use an insufficient power supply with the CDX and wonder why they can only play genesis carts, but not CD games.
I see your point. I'll just play my Genesis and go on eBay every chance I can get

Not to be a bother, but why are you willing to spend $10 on a cable that might break your system, or a crazy amount of money on an official cable that will probably never show up, but you won't spend $35 on a cable that will definitely work and give you years of awesome gaming?

I mean, you could still keep an eye out for th eofficial cable if its for collection's sake, but man, I just hate to think the thing will likely not get played for years. Heck, I'll buy it :P

Ah. Either I got mixed up in the quotes, or there was lack of quoting which made things hard to follow with interspersed posts.

Passive aggressive post. You're trying to make me look like mean old Mr. Mod and it isn't appreciated.

You asked the question and got an answer, yet you asked again multiple other times within a couple of days. From the rules:
4. Do not cross-post - Posting information or a thread in more than one forum is annoying and thus not allowed. Just post once in the correct place. "But someone might miss it" is not a valid reason for cross-posting. If someone misses something because they don't read much of the forum, so be it. If something is a relevant tangent to an ongoing discussion, link the other thread.
That goes for questions as well as informational or discussion posts.

So, how about them Genesis games eh? Very mega...
