Ah yes, Ninja Warriors. So freaking awesome, it's just a shame the game is so freaking expensive. It's also a shame that it's the only game I've ever had go DOA in the mail, and I never got another copy. That...that was upsetting.

I'm putting together a list of SNES/SFC fighting games that would eventually be a genre video, here's what I have so far...

Art of Fighting
Ballz 3D
Battle Blaze
Battle Tycoon: Flash Hiders SFX
Best of the Best: Championship Karate
Brutal: Paws of Fury
ClayFighter, C2, Tournament Edition
Doomsday Warrior
Double Dragon V
Dragon the Bruce Lee Story
Dragon Ball Z series (Not sure which ones?)
Fatal Fury 1 & 2, Special
Fighter's History
Gundam Wing Endless Duel
Justice League Task Force
Killer Instinct
King of the Monsters 1 & 2
MMPR Fighting Edition
Mortal Kombat 1-3, Ultimate
Pit Fighter
Power Instinct
Power Moves
Primal Rage
Ranma 1/2 Hard, Super
Rise of the Robots
Samurai Showdown
Shaq Fu
Street Combat
Street Fighter II, Turbo, Alpha 2, Super
TMNT Tournament Fighters
Tuff E Nuff
Ultraman: Toward the Future
Weaponlord
World Heroes 1 & 2
Yu Yu Hakusho: Tokubetsuhen

Am I missing anything worthwhile?

That is basically a list of all NTSC-U fighting games and a couple of additions for importing, namely Flash Hiders, GW Endless Duel, the DBZ games, and Yu Yu Hakusho?

Anyway, you should drop Ultimate Fighter: it's a beat 'em up that happens to have boss battles reminiscent of fighting games and a versus mode, like Turtles in Time or Combatribes.

You're also missing Tuff E Nuff.

Yeah, it's a list I made via Wikipedia including the SFC games I've played/heard of, just wondering if anyone's played or heard of any others

Sure, I've heard of quite a few, though the real question is whether they're worth playing. You might consider at least mentioning these:

Fighter's History: Mizoguchi Kikiippatsu!! (a sequel to Fighter's History)
SD Hiryuu no Ken (it's in the Hiryuu no Ken series, coming before Flying Dragon on the N64)
Super Chinese Fighter (it's in the same series as Super Ninja Boy)
Ultra Seven (it's another Ultraman fighting game)

And you might consider looking into Super V.G. and Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

Also, don't forget that the third Ranma fighting game, Neighborhood Combat, was edited to make the game Street Combat in the US!

Wow, really? That game is in my top 5 worst games on the system, and I always liked Ranma

Yeah, that is a Ranma game with the sprites redrawn. But I agree, Street Combat is hideous and is definitely one of the worst fighting games I've ever played. I'd say it's probably also bottom five of all SNES games I've played.

Have you played all the fighters on your list? There are some gems in there, but there are also some real stinkers too.

I want to make sure to include everything, stinkers and all. I've played most of those games the past month (all the ninja games I've been doing lately has me gravitating toward fighting games for some reason), but I haven't played Power Instinct, Power Moves or the Bruce Lee game, and I've only played one DBZ game. I haven't played the King of Monsters games on SNES. Plus I haven't played stuff like Ultraman in a million years (I remember it being disappointing)
