exactly my point. This is what I find weird - you pay money for the PC port, which they now are replacing w/ a completely different port. It's not really a patch it feels. It's an entirely different version of the game. I don't really get it.

What are my best options if I want to play the best 2D fighters from the 90s with an arcade stick, but not willing to buy a Neo Geo or Saturn?

PSN? Steam?

PSN.

Steam is a fairly dry landscape for 90s fighters.

You want Kawaks, a Neo Geo goodset, and a nice USB arcade stick.

I can help you out with everything but the goodset:

PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Do you have a general list, or scope that you're thinking of?

I'd second emulation if you don't really care about the collecting aspect, or complete legality. Upside being, it's probably the most comprehensive way to go, and you don't really need to worry about port quality.

On the other hand, if you just really want to play a handful of them, chances are the PS2 has you covered. Capcom Classics Collections, various Neo Geo archive collections, Midway Arcade Treasures, etc.

Good call. And as a bonus, all around, the PS2 has a fantastic library of fighters.

If you don't mind physical copies, can make it to a Gamestop, and have a rewards card, you can get Bionic Commando, Dark sector, and all three Uncharted games for just under $20.
dang, that's a good deal. wound up spending the credit on Katamari Damacy and uh don't regret anything
Good purchase. Katamrai Damacy is one of my very favorite games. I hope you enjoy it!

Agreed. The number of awesome 2D fighters available for the PS2 is staggering (especially when you remember that the PS2 can play all of the 2D fighters available for the PS1).

This question is an oxymoron, but does anyone know of any MMORPGs (free or subscription based, I don't care) that are low on the grinding and repetetive tasks? A game where playing a hour is actually playing an hour, not like wow where to play 2 hours you'd need to waste 4 hours on other tasks.

I am looking with something with a PvP emphasis would be nice.
