sigh....with codename steam, majora's mask coming out in the start of the year, it will be at least another year before I can manage to keep up with all the 3DS games I want to buy. Damn Nintendo handhelds are always way too good when it comes to software lineups.

I wish they wouldn't call it "the first of its kind" in their release material since this is obviously X-COM meets Valkyria Chronicles.

I need this in my veins.

Also I think the art style is very Freedom Force inspired.

I'll third that. If there's one thing that Nintendo has been entirely consistent on is their handheld line of systems. You seemingly can always find something good if not great to play and third parties just seem to love throwing stuff at them even today still with the emergence of tablets and phones with their pennies to the poorhouse approach to pricing.

Maybe them somewhat recently merging their console and handheld divisions will find them putting the console guys into a retirement desk in a corner somewhere and have those good ideas spread out. :) If not spread out, the merging of both into one useful system.

Okay as if the 3DS/2DS nonsense wasn't confusing enough... I walk into Target last week and see this new game for the 3DS: Pokemon Art Academy. There's a little message on the bottom that says something to the effect of "only plays in 2D."

I swear only Sega knew how to name consoles.

To be fair, it is a game where you paint and draw. I suppose they could have added layers, but it seems to be a pretty understandable game to have in 2D only XD

I've waited patiently for the Sega Uranus.

But yeah, Nintendo has gotten pretty crazy with the naming. I still think Microsoft is the worst at this.

Ahh you haven't seen nothing yet. Wait for the after market and even new sellers having trouble with the New 3DS. Or would that be the NEW New 3DS? But what if it's a USED NEW 3DS? It's not so New if it's Used and a 3DS. As a side note, I could see some ebay abuse already there for peons who can't read and buy stuff getting what they wanted or not, or using it as a loophole to back out of a sale because they're illiterate. :D
