My last 4 runs have been to the last center orb on the 3rd boss and i'm just not judging those slow sideways bullets properly :/

I have a really bad habit of leaning into the joystick while the next level loads. Didn't think of it when going into level 2 and had it locked into the "up" position. For anyone who does the same thing - turns out you can fix it (in game) by going to the menu and rebinding your keys.

Had to figure that out on the fly with that run and it cost me a life, it was a really good run up until that point. Oh well.

Calling it for now, might work on it for a bit more tonight.

Just had a run with a 200K+ chain on the first stage, only to eat it before the Stage 2 boss with a score around 1.3 mil.

Just had a run with a 200K+ chain on the first stage, only to eat it before the Stage 2 boss with a score around 1.3 mil.

Pushing for the "perfect chain" on Stage 1 is driving me nuts. I have had it very close a few times - I've had vaunt the whole way through when you can first do it to the start of the boss and racked up about 420K - but then it peters out just as the "raining" enemies appear.

I have also figured out that it isn't really worth it as long as you have a couple of good chains on the stage. Having one vaunt chain of around 200K and then two more of just under 100K gets me pretty close without the giant headache, and at this point the few 10K diff isn't huge in scoring...but it saves me a shit ton of stress and headache.

I'm not saying I don't go for the perfect vaunt chain - I absolutely do every time. But depending on where I lose it, I am trying to stop resetting in each instance.

Finished stage 1 with a score of 622k and change. This game is really damn fun, scoring is right up my alley, tight and tough but intuitive.

Game crashed after I killed st1 boss though.
