Who hates smoking?

I am neutruel on the issue, I'm a smoker, who else is? It's sad that we are so perscutued and chastised by everyone around us despite their undeniable hypocrisy.
That is what gets me, that very often the same person who will point out how disgusting smoking is, how horrible it is, how it kills so many people et cetra et cetra, will they themselves drink alcohol. Which you can easily say in comparision is much worst than smoking. Why? Because alcohol kills innocent people. Smoking is 1, obesity(why no war on fat people) is number 2 or vermont chedder cheese and number 3 Alcohol. Number 4 infectious diseases(some of which are vereneral) number 5 toxins and number six Motor Vehicle Collisions. Number 7, firearm deaths. Number 8 STDs.
DO you notice an underlying pattern between all of these deaths. Besides the obvious, it is that they are of free choice. Where is the war on freedom of choice in america?
Of the tens of thousands killed by aids, by veneral disease; hmm what of the people who pass on death to others?? In years your life will no longer exist. Or motor vehicle collissions, what of the people who chose to drive? Who by their neglience or misfourante kill, maime and incurr metal retardation on the innocent??
Or what of Alcohol. The big 3. In one night entire lives can be ruined through date rape, faulty judgment or worst DUIs. Children and innocent people die everyday due to a legal drug that can kill withn an hour of taking.

I don't care if any one thinks I'm disgusting, "ok, then get out of my car/house/room". I can think of far grosser things I do then smoke. Come here, smell my ass! That's gross.

Also, to those morons who feel like walking up to me and telling me how "smoking will kill you".

OH! REALLY!? I didn't know... I mean jeeze, why isn't there a warning on the pack??? Oh there is. Why isn't there ads everywhere??? Oh there is. Why didn't they tell me in school!? Oh they did. Why didn't my parents warn me??? Oh they did. Why didn't my Doctor tell me??? Oh he did.

See the pattern here? I don't care. You know what, I don't want to be 90 years old shitting myself and incapable of a hard on. And yeaaaahhhh, everyone tells me how I might think otherwise when I get older. Screw you, I've injected worse substances into my body. I don't think I'm really all that concerned about that part of my life. Main reason why? I'll probably kill myself some other way LONG before that day comes.

Sorry, but not every human being is concerned about longevity. Hey guess what, there are 6 billion people on this Earth. When I die that'll be one less you have to feed.

As for that drinking and other shit.

You'll never catch me driving under the influence or carrying a fire arm into a public place where I could kill some one, or any of that crap. I get my STD test regularly and I always wear protection. So piss off, just don't come in my room and you'll be safe from the evil cancer stick stuck in my lips.

It'd be better then you coming in my room when I'm out of butts... that's when my firearm is cocked and ready.

I guess I dunno what you're point is. The reason most people complain about smoking is having to be around it in restaurants and stuff. It's an immediate inconvenience and smells bad (to most non-smokers).

I don't smoke, never have and probably never will. Not because it might kill me, or being afraid of being addicted or anything like that, just because I don't like the smell.

I hang out with smokers and I respect that, just as long as they don't do it in my car or in my house and don't blow smoke to my face.

Like lordofduct said, walking up to a smoker to tell them that it will kill them is dumb, it's like going to a McDonald's and telling everyone that burgers will make them fat. Of course they know, and we all have habits that will make us die sooner, be it drinking, not exercising regularly, fatty foods, staying up late and lots of other common things, what's the point of living 100 years and not doing anything remotely fun?

As far as the comparison to alcohol goes, they're two different things, and there are different issues and laws with each so they can't really be compared directly.

Cigarettes - you have to be 18 to get these. Alcohol? 21. So Alcohol is more regulated than cigarettes.

Now if we're talking deaths due to each of those things, you have to consider what kinds of deaths. If we're talking health based, I'm pretty sure cigarettes cause life threatening illnesses more than alcohol does. Second hand smoke also directly effects the health of people around it. Now I'm sure people distracted by lighting up while trying to drive or driving one handed has caused some accidents here or there, but driving while drunk is the main argument against alcohol. Except it's ILLEGAL. Your other reasons were date rape and faulty judgement. I'd think 90% of date rape is a result of other drugs being dropped into drinks, and not simply drinking too much alcohol.

I don't smoke and I probably never will. I can't really say I care if other people do. Some of my closest friends enjoy the occasional cigarette and I would never hold smoking against someone. I kinda like the smell of cigarette smoke anyways.

I don't hate or judge anyone who smokes or drinks and the such.

I do however hate the smell of cigs though, makes me sick after awhile.

If I'm around smokers, I just deal with it. I hate the smell of cat piss, but that doesn't mean I hate my cat. The same thing applies to smoking.

Tried it, not for me, nor is any drug, or alchohol for that matter. Sure sometimes a beer at a party is okay but honestly doesnt matter that much.

I hate. Sorry. People smoke outside after shows I do and I cant really hang around to talk because they're smoking. Last night I breathed a bunch in while I tried to hang out. I couldnt do it so I had to leave and I was coughing it out for like 45 min afters. So I hate smoking.
